Ozark (Netflix)

Collider spoiled one characters fate in an article title. I haven't been on Collider in years and I go for one article, not even related to Ozark and get it spoiled

Favorite Marty and Wendy scene must be the Couples therapy session where they both found out they been paying her off. Classic

I think they ended it the way they did to make a future season possible or a movie possibly

Just finished the finale.
Definitely felt too open-ended, as if Netflix mandated that so they can do a movie down the line. No consequences for the Byrdes and Camila being the new big bad? There's just too much left on the table. I was pissed that Ruth got killed, since she really became my favorite character especially in the final season. The car crash really didn't need to be foreshadowed in the Part 1 opening since it ended up being nothing.

Overall I thought it was a good show, but I would have preferred a less open-ended finale.

Something similar happened to me except I didn't even click on an article. It was skimming the news headlines on my phone and it was in the title of an article as I was scrolling by. Needless to say, I was upset as I had only watched the 1st episode of the second half of the season. After that I just waited for it to happen. Kinda took the joy and the suspense out of the whole thing

Was it Collider or another site?

See, with Ruth being dead, I don’t think it’s open-ended. I think that was the series telling you that it’s the end. I think the whole point of the show seemed to be that if you get involved with the Byrdes, your life ultimately gets destroyed whether it’s directly their fault or not. Meanwhile, the Byrdes somehow manage to survive. So even a character like Ruth, who is so popular and badass and seemingly plot-armored, got swallowed up by it in the end. Now, her death was largely the result of her own actions but… Wendy still called Javi and put his death in motion, and then began working closely with Camila. Both of those things ultimately led to Ruth’s death.
