Because when a site is covered in marketing for a film, and they review it and grade it higher than it should be (and you can only see this in retrospect), then anyone who thought these sites have any impartial critical standards should feel tricked. But this is a world where we are told everyone can give an opinion, and "an opinion can't be wrong".

And whats with the sequel trailer being pulled because the Twilight fans thought it was "too scary"? Wow, what a bunch of sterile, clueless wussies.

Fair enough, but if someone is allowing themselves to be misled by not seeking other sources for reviews, then it's probably their own fault. It's not like every reviewer gave this movie a perfect score. Companies buying reviews is not a new phenomenon either and if a site is plastered with advertisements of a movie that they gave a great score too, they should probably be reconsidering the integrity of said site. This is all about how you interpret someone's opinion and the responsibility you have when you act upon that opinion. They can complain all they want about how they were "tricked," but in the end, it was their judgement call.

Has anyone found the hidden footage in the teaser trailer?

You have to go to their website (www.paranormalmovie.com) and let the trailer start to play. When it reaches the 12:31:14 mark, pull the video progress bar back until you see a hidden image. You might have to try it a few times, but it will start playing this creepy extra footage - which is why it only works on their website.

It was freakishly awesome.

Nothing happened for me except that it freezes on the last frame (of the baby in the mirror but not in the crib) and the picture just floats around the screen.
