I got to the end of the episode and was ready to come here to ask you guys if I had somehow missed an explanation of how Ron turned Ann's 'sconce' into wedding rings . . .

. . . and then I saw the terrific cold closing segment after the last commercial where Ron explained the whole 20-minute forging process!

A fantastic capper to one of their best episodes ever!

Honestly, I hate that I am not more like Ron Swanson. I think, as great as the episodes were Thursday, my actual biggest laugh was when he told the joke about the government being effective and using tax dollars efficiently. I do love breakfast food, and I have been trying to get better about learning how to do home improvement projects for myself (got married about a year and a half ago and bought a house last summer), but I have a long way to go to be a true Swanson.

It really is. They've really built a universe of great characters in Pawnee, like The Simpsons did with Springfield.

At least we probably won't have to worry about this being dragged on for 25 seasons.
