Paul Walter Hauser is Harvey Edler/Mole Man from the Subterrenea

I love mole man! I bet Josh gad is spitting, he seemed destined for the role

Cool! Can’t wait to get this Mole checked out!

Eh, least he's got the goggles
And I've loved Hauser in everything I've seen him in, so there's that

I'm still excited to see what they do with him. I'm not familiar with the actor even though I know he's on a popular TV show.

My hope (and this is only a hope - there’s no reason to think it will happen) is that they show him early looking more like Mole Man with cape and all, and then, later when he’s trying to be a good citizen he dons the green track-suit.

If this is his real look throughout, it’s pretty awful.

I thought he wasn't properly introduced, and the movie would have been the same if they cut his role.

Eh, he was kind of needed as the reason why New Yorkers went underground to hide from Galactus. Could he have used more screentime? Absolutely, but he was in it enough for it to not be an out of left field move when he was utilized in the plot.

He was a scene stealer. I’m glad they didn’t just phone it in by making him an incel. I kind of wish he had been the main big bad of the first fantastic four movie

I think the beginning was edited down and out a bit.
I suspect that's the case. Considering they cut John Malcovich, I can't imagine his role was the same as one of his apes. I bet those scenes played longer, which made the callback work better. I'm glad they changed the pacing of the movie, but I bet MoleMan suffered because of it.

this scene would have added a lot of context to the nature of Mole man and Sues friendship...

it did feel a little rushed an out of nowhere in the final cut

I gotta be brutally honest. I’m glad that got cut. Not because of pacing or how it did or didn’t fit with the story, but because it felt like he was playing someone from the ‘60’s Batman TV show, and that doesn’t fit with the rest of the film.

And that’s not a knock on his acting ability. He did a good job of playing it campy, and I assume the director was onboard, but when you piece it in with the rest of the film, it doesn’t feel right and doesn’t fit how I’d like to see Moleman portrayed.

They really cheaped out on Subterrania and the Mole Men. The Mole People were literally just a bunch of hobos wearing hard hats. They looked like average schlubs. They basically made it into the underground rebel group from Demolition Man.

I enjoyed Paul Walter Hauser in his limited screen time, and he was funny but like...there was nothing for him to do. You didn't even really need Mole Man in the movie. Could've just evacuated the city elsewhere. Hauser is an award-winning actor and a rising star right now, and Marvel Studios does this a lot. They cast big-name talent and do very little with them or cast them in throwaway roles.

Like Emilia Clarke in Secret Invasion. She's Emilia Clarke. She's literally Daenerys of Game of Thrones. Why are you casting her as a f'n no-name Skrull character? If you're going to cast her as a like Princess Anelle. Make her the figurehead of the rebellion.

Upon seeing the movie, Mole Man looked like a miner with weird glasses, and Subterranea didn't look as outwordly as in the comics.
