Age of Ultron Pepper Pots anyone?

Pepper is probably on the west coast running stark international

Quick scene where their on the phone. With Rescue armor featured behind her.

I hope she shows up in AOU. Even the small role she had in the Avengers made all the difference and was a pleasant surprise. I don't think they should've shown it in the trailers though as it would've been nice to discover her for the first time in the theatres.

Ideally they could show her leaving as the Avengers get back from defeating the Baron as she is leaving for a meeting on the West Coast. Quick acknowledgement of her and Tony's relationship and her role within the MCU but without having to deal with her character. I love Pepper and I hope she gets a shout out at the very least.

I wouldn't mind if she dresses in her short shorts again. I think that's the sexiest she's looked.

Leave her out of this. Let Tony get through one movie without her.

I'd like to see her too in a cameo. I like her character but the end of Iron Man 3 was ridiculous

I feel she almost needs a cameo. Stark said he was done with being Iron Man in IM3, but now he's back to it again. It seems like there should be a scene between Tony and Pepper to address this and her reservations about it.

No. He said no such thing. The opposite in fact.

"I am Iron Man" was the very last thing he said before the credits rolled.

Stark's narration at the very end was not to Pepper though. It was for the sake of the audience and his own musings on the subject (or, as we see later, Tony recounting the tale to a soporific Banner). However, Stark blew up his suits as an expression of his devotion to Potts, as if to say he's done being Iron Man and putting aside this way of life.

And that's what I'm getting at. After having done that and indicated he's going one way, there almost now needs to be a conversation between Tony and Pepper to address why he's seemingly taking a different route, at least as far as she's concerned, because to her he seems to be jumping back into this life, even though Tony knew in his own head he was still Iron Man, with or without the armour.

He said "I AM Iron man". He didn't say "I WAS Iron man". Tony more than likely had intentions to build another suit. I am Iron man..the point was that he is Iron man and always will be Iron man. With or without the armor..Iron man is a part of him, a part of his psyche..he is Iron man. That was the point of it. There's always going to be a point for Iron man I think.

Yes he did, and of course he had intentions to build another suit and no real intention to give up being Iron Man. I doubt anyone thought for a second he was going to stop being Shellhead.

But it's one thing to admit this reality to himself (or to Banner during a couch session) and another thing to indicate something else to Pepper. And that's what I'm saying could easily allow for a scene addressing this in AOU, because she could have quite reasonably thought from his actions that he was having a new start and leaving his hero days behind him. All it takes is a small scene with Pepper saying "I thought you weren't doing this anymore" or "I knew it. You just couldn't leave it alone."

I agree with this. If Stark is going to undergo a huge character change in AoU surely Pepper should be included in this as she is the most important person in his life? I also find it strange that she doesn't seem to appear in the party scene. My concern is that Whedon goes down the typical comic route and reduces Pepper to just being the love interest that gets killed to hurt the hero (same for Jane Foster although there's that awful rumour that the movie will start with her being seperated from Thor).

YEEEEESSSSS!!!!

Was that too loud? :oldrazz:

The Thor/Jane romance has always been so badly handled unlike the Tony/Pepper relationship, except in Iron Man 3. (I'll blow up all my suits, the only means I have to defend either of us, and the world, for YOU...Babeh." ""That's a start...."
:huh::whatever:

Whatever your views on Jane and Thor, their relationship has been an important part of two solo Thor movies. To just have them seperated without sufficient explanation isn't a great idea - at least invest some time into this development.

Killing Pepper just to cause Tony pain is an equally bad idea.

I'll agree completely everything you've said if you change bolded word above to "insufferable". :cwink:

Since Stark builds Ultron, and he'll be having a whole moral personal dilemma and guilt, Pepper will have to be there to give her support and 2 cents to Tony.

For the first Avengers movie, RDJ campaigned to have both Gwenyth and Don be in the movie. However, they let him pick one and that's why we got Pepper in the movie. Looks like Don is getting his time here, so I doubt Pepper's in this movie.

First of all there is nothing sexist or misogynistic about killing off someone's love interest. It's not even something that happens in overabundance in film.
People lose loved ones in real life and women are not a special exception. If it helps the story and helps the contracting issues of the actors/actresses involved DO IT, forget all this pandering crap. Who exactly is getting hurt if someones love interest dies in a movie? Jesus.

Tony blew up his suits in IM3 as a gesture to Pepper saying he is no longer going to be Iron Man and now he's Iron Man again and worse than that, he's still tinkering and creates Ultron and puts the world in jeopardy and not just himself this time. I'd say if Paltrow doesn't want to do this anymore, have Pepper break up with Tony for not sticking to his word about no longer being Iron Man and then have her get with Happy just like in the comics and Tony can return back to his single life and everyone's happy. Pepper doesn't die so the oversensitive feminists groups can't complain, Paltrow has an exit point, and Happy's story gets concluded and the comic fans get single Tony back. Everyones happy no pun intended.

Frankly I wouldn't mind if Pepper got the same treatment that Jane Foster got in TA1. She's mentioned briefly but that's all that's needed.

That could work. How else are we gonna get Bethany Cabe, Kathy 'Bang-Bang' Dare and other love interests into the MCU? Tony has a long list with plenty who've been memorable.
