I participated in that thread yes, but as other Lounge posters know (04nbod, Lord Valumart, and farmerfran in particular) I have always been against flag burning. My pride in my country has always been present but in the past I have been less apparent about it for the reason that too many people feel the need to lump it in with racism. I did not wish for people to misconstrue my patriotism with such ignorance.
