PES6 and FIFA 360 will be next-gen exclusives for 12 months.

Wow, "ideally I'd only like to hear from people who are going to agree with me", what a joke. It's good because it means the game will take more advantage of the hardware it's on rather than being a more vanilla port. It's good for Microsoft because it will sell more consoles, which leads to it being good for gamers as it will cause their console to get more support and games. It's good for various reasons, and is certainly not bad, unless you DON'T own a 360, which goes into the reasoning behind the deal, to get you to buy one. If you don't want the game enough for a 360, then hey, great, you obviously won't miss it and thus it's of no consequence that you can't play it on your favorite system and you won't need to continue discussing it.
Okay, finally someone with a response, a little half-hearted and albeit slightly condescending, but we're getting somewhere...

Okay, a game taking advantage of the hardware is good yes, but by that logic, we'd never get PSP or DS conversions of games, as they're clearly inferior machines. Yes, the selling of consoles is good, as we all want to see the market succeed as higher demand will lead to an increase in availabilty of products and an increase of resources available to the development of software, but the bottom line is that those too cheap* are going to miss out. I just don't see that as good. Sorry if sticking up for the little guy isn't cool enough, but it's the way I see it. Do we really believe that EA/Konami/MS need more money? This isn't some anti-MS rant as like I stated earlier, I own an XBOX and will be buying a 360.

Again though, for those it doesn't affect in the slightest, I fail to see how you can present any sort of argument at all, and the idea that I'm looking for a response from those who will agree with me is nonsense, but I'm willing to bet that those who are directly affected by this nonsense just might.

It drives me up a wall when people don't understand simple things.

No, that's not "by any logic" that I presented. Taking advantage of the hardware means that it isn't being ported around as much and as such has fewer systems to run on, meaning it will be built entirely on the strengths and weaknesses of the 360 rather than the weaknesses of both the ps3 and the 360 and then whatever strengths they have in common, like a port. It has nothing to do with one machine being inferior to another, nothing at all.

I'm going to complain about spending money because big companies have more of it than me already
Then don't buy it maybe?

a snipped justification of only wanting people to agree
Totally wrong in about 200000 different ways. I don't need to be "directly effected" by something to see plainly visible facts and come to the only logical conclusion available from those facts.

Fair enough, I'm all for the adavancement of technology and gaming experiences, but c'mon, it's not like it's going to built entirely on the strengths of more competent machinary. It's going to come out on both systems anyway! It has nothing to do with that, it's clearly a device to sell more units at a higher price, which should not be applauded. As everyone seems to be missing this, I'm going to put it in bold and at a higher font size...

I WILL BE BUYING A 360.

I aplogise if this isn't clear enough, but wouldn't want to make the font size any higher in fear of being rude.

Look, I can appreciate how you want the best for the best, and yeah, maybe I am failing to understand, but I can't see it any different that what it is on the face of it, which is that those who cannot afford next gen machines will not be able to play FIFA2007 and PES6 for at least a year.

It reminds me of when GTA had Sony exclusive for all those months, boy there was outcry in Microsoft's corner then.

Which means what he says is worth about as much as what an magic Eight-Ball from third grade said when you shook it really hard. Don't say more than one word to him.

Who the hell is Riz? For your (currently incorrect but that's nothing new) info, my previous handle was Flame On!

If you don't have a valid argument, then that's fine, I understand, but jumping to ridiculous conclusions makes you look a little bit silly.

Good heavens. That sounds like a handle that didn't win you any friends.

I kinda liked it, as not only was it (an admittedly geeky) comic book reference, but it also had a double meaning in terms of message board posting.
