hah! this board is such a bunch of sony haters, i can't even believe it! don't get me wrong, sony has made some BIG missteps in the last few weeks and months, all starting with the price at E3.
so everyone here gets all excited and starts ripping on sony saying their launch is doomed because microsoft is dropping their price in november... then microsoft executives themselves come out and say they're not dropping the price, and you guys say they're lying about it? c'mon!
am i the only one that sees anything wrong with that?
I'm not a Sony hater lol I just like to grab my pitchfork and Torch lol just to feel special

But on a serious note even though everyone thinks these missteps to the failure at launch trust me its not going to hurt them.
And a ton of people are just trying to hate Sony really, I think the only voice of reason here is Zenien because she actually overlooks everything and analyzes it.
Sony did start the eye toy and now Microsoft has a camera coming out? The wii has you pointing the controller at the system and Sony has you moving your body and hands. Yeah same concept
Really I think everyone just wants Sony to fail just like Green Goblin says in Spider-Man they love to see a hero but what they really want to see is that hero fail dye trying.
Personally I think everyone is just being a little to quick to try and tear Sony's face off. But what really makes me laugh is when people say that Sony is stealing ideas, that they don't have originality to their console. Well to say the least is it stealing ideas when Nintendo and Microsoft steal the diamond layout of PS1 controller? Is it stealing ideas when Microsoft encompasses analog sticks on their controllers? No what really makes me laugh is how no one ties the 360 controller design to a PS2/PS3. They took the white and black button and moved it onto the shoulder. Yeah lets call Right Bumper (R1)and Left Bumper (L1.)
No theres no connection

My point is so what if they take the ideas? Is there really such a thing as a pure idea? I mean Stan Lee the creator of Spider-Man makes a man-lizard and then some guy makes a man-lizard in Dungeons and Dragons. Is that stealing the idea? Is there such thing as a pure idea. I think not, the human race takes ideas that are positive and if they like them will encompass that with their product.
I make movie scripts in my spare time and i'll come up with ideas but then again sometimes I get inspiration from another source of material like Resistance Fall of Man. This is how the human race thrives, off of others ideas.
I'm just sad that no one really sees that and are so quick to jump onto the "THEY ARE STEALING" WTF its an idea is it patented? I think not so why can't they use it? It's bound to be thought of eventually down the road.
And sorry for the run-on sentences and bad grammer. I need to work on that
