Pet Sematary Remake in the works

Looks good, but disappointed to hear Jud didn't have his accent.

The trailer makes it look like a generic jump scare film.

Regarding the accent;

Lithgow inherits the part of Jud from the late Fred Gwynne, who turned in a highly memorable performance as the elderly neighbor, and really nailed the character’s thick Maine accent so prevalent in King’s book. But don’t expect Lithgow to do the same.

“We all talked about [the accent],” Lithgow tells us, “and we even tried it different ways. I did a whole reading with a Maine accent. I personally felt that even people who are from Maine, even actors who get it absolutely right – an accent like that kind of takes you out of the story. I myself think that, especially how they have reimagined this script, which is changed from the book, to the first film, to this – it has evolved and Jud has become a more serious character, in a sense. He is a character in the pull of a kind of deep, deep regret, deep guilt, great longing, great feelings of loss, love. And because of that, I just felt he had to be a very genuine person. Listen, I have Boston roots. My father was born there, all my uncles and aunts were from there, I went to Harvard and I know Boston well. I can do an accent. But as soon as I start, that’s all you’re listening to.”

Well at least Lithgow explains the reasoning.

Chilling and creepy trailer. Loos to be in the right track as far as offering something distinct from the original film. Clarke and Lithgow are solid cast.

What's up with the Stranger Things font? :D:D
The Stranger Things font is an homage to the font on King's books.

Trailer looks good. Pet Sematary was the first book I ever read.

Liking the trailer. I haven't read many of King's books but of those I have Pet Sematary is easily my favourite.

Lambert Restoring Original Pet Sematary

Mary Lambert is restoring and remastering her original film adaptation of Pet Sematary. A couple of days ago she announced via social media that she’s been hard at work with the studio to create a high-definition version of the movie.

What's with the masks? was that part of the book??

No. Those creepy kids werent even in the book.

****ing hell, that shot of the sister crawling on the floor.

Not sure if I like the change of Ellie being the one to return instead of Gage.

So Ellie gets killed in this one as well as Gage?

That's probably a given, I guess. I'm mixed on it, more so because it was comforting in the book/film that there was at least one person who got away from it all and this kind of makes it very bleak. But on the flip side, Ellie's older than Gage and more of an actual character, so I imagine that makes the whole thing more morbid and disturbing.
