Peter Parker is always going on about how he is unlucky, a *****e, and a disappointment, and it seems that his shortcomings really do alienate his audience in all mediums. Right now in the comics fans are calling him a coward, disappointed in his decision to make a deal with a c-list Ghost Rider alumni. Movie fans think him a vag?na for his newborn girl crying and awkward social skills, just recently having it with his failure to mature, and fans of the animated series hate how he cant find a way to not go into another dimension. It truly is Peter's destiny to fail everyone in his life, and those following his stories. Truly, he is dispicable. Maybe that is the lesson to learn from Spiderman.

That's the Parker luck for ya. No matter what he does, people will always give him crap for it.

Uh....any loser DESERVES crap for even CONSIDERING doing a deal with the devil, especially giving up someone you LOVE. Pointlessly too, may i point out.

It has nothing to do with Parker luck. It has to do with Joe's Agenda.

but still HE MADE A DEAL WITH THE DEVIL... C'mon who can call himself a "hero" when you run from your responsibilities by sacrificing one you love for another one you love?

That's the reason Peter is such a relatable character. He has inner turmoil, self doubt, and alot of guilt. Those shortcomings are what make the reader feel for him, and identify with him on some level. Look at the way he was in the beginning, after he was bitten by the spider. He was a dick, it took the death of his uncle to straighter him out. Peter learned to be a humble person and that gave him the strength to do what needs to be done. If however, he was a happy rope skipping fool no one would buy the books anymore. Spider-man is about regret and making amends for your mistakes.

Thats what makes people identify with the character, true. I'm just suggesting that Peter Parker is right for having all that self-doubt and what not, because in the comics and movies right now people (some of the fans) really have had it with Peter Parker, and his bad decisions/attitude.
