Comics Petition regarding the Spider-marriage

but they have no meaning anymore...remember Sensational #200? It has as much emotional impact now that Harry's alive and well as if the entire issue had been 32 pages of a bear on a unicycle.

When somebody tells me that the stories they read as a THREE year old were a waste of time, then it's time for me to tell that person to get some perspective.

And the only change for Spec #200 is probably going to be that Harry ended up surviving the trip in the ambulance and went to Europe for rehab.

Still a good story... still saves his friend in the end... he just survives.

Much better than a bear on a unicycle...

:yay:

I take it Hayden Christiansen being in ROTJ is fine by you?

That one scene at the end of the movie does not take away anything from the greatness that is the movie...

I have a video tape copy with the original actor in it, so I roll my eyes when I see Hayden in the new version, but that does not make me want to hate "Star Wars".

And if things proceed the way I hear it's going to be, George Lucas is going to yet again edit the original films to make them fit better within what we saw in the prequels... I'm sure that will yet again piss off the Star Wars' purists, but it's Lucas' decision to do what he wants with his property.

Q: Who shot first? Han or Greedo?
A: Han shot first. :cwink:

In any event, as I've mentioned before, while OMD sucked major league donkey balls, I'm liking this new begining, and I hope sales reflect that and we can move on. If sales plummet, then when the inevitable retcon occurs in 18 to 24 months, it will be FAR WORSE than what we saw in OMD, and I can't deal with that again...

Lucas agrees, so maybe he'll change it back... :yay:

Bump.

There are 290 signatures on the IPetitions version so far. Thanks to everyone who's signed and/or commented so far. I've also sent hand-written letters to Marvel and several people there, including Joe Quesada, about my current dislike of the current direction of the Spider-books, but I kept things friendly and minded my manners doing so. I also mentioned the links to the petitions in the letters so Marvel knows of its existence. Until the marriage is brought back into the comics, though, I'm afraid I won't be reading and buying any Spider-Man comics for quite a while.

And by the way, I too didn't like it when Greedo shot first.

GOOD for you!!! And yes, Han shot first, by the way. It made his redemption in ROTJ actually MEAN something. Lucas's redo was truly ridiculous.

You can't just say "the only change" as though it affects nothing.

It affects hundreds of comics after the event in big ways. That simply can't be ignored or wished away.

I dunno man... a bear on a unicycle is pretty damn sweet

I just wanted to bump this thread up. Since I last replied, there are 357 signatures on the IPetitions version, 37 signatures for the PetitionThem version and 191 for the GoPetition version another fan made. I'd like to say thanks to everyone who's signed the petition(s) so far and supports Spider-Man's marriage to Mary Jane.

Thanks for reading and have a good day, everyone.
