Almost none of that is PG-13 I've seen similar elements in Spy Kids and Shark Boy and Lava Girl.

WTF?!

SHARK BOY AND LAVA GIRL?! SPY KIDS?! ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND MAN?!

Those were just garbage. Spy Kids was tolerable but SB and LG was just....GOOD GOD THAT SUCKED! Kiddy as hell and NIETHER were close to Fantastic Four. EVER.

... no.... not time to troll this movie yet...

carry on

Uh...no, not even close. Can you explain what elements were in those?

Well, not sure about Shark Boy and Lava Girl, but looked even more immature than Spy Kids, so I still doubt it.

And plus this just like all the other things we talk about is a rumou so far.

Until he get confirmation no need for anyone to get the pantes or boxers in a knot over nothing.

They were meant for kids but had those elements in it to some degree. I never said they were good movies or bad movies. I was making a point.

If Fox submitted the film unknowingly getting a PG rating, then fine. If they purposely edited the film to get a PG rating, then that sucks. Hopefully it's just the way the film turned out.

Really, a PG rating is not bad. This is Fantastic Four. It's a family-friendly action/comedy flick. I would love to see something more serious and darker, but that just isn't what Fantastic Four is about.

I just hope the film wasn't purposely made 'more kiddie friendly' just to make a PG rating. AD is right in saying to look at films like Rocky Balboa, and National Treasure. Balboa was a great film, and felt very 'adult' while still having a PG rating.

I'm still a bit worried about this film though :o

Now this is truly mind boggling, of all the things to be worried about this is not one of them.

The lack of proper dialog and bad editing and uh the unmentionable RT..... might be cause for concern but the rating.

Are you for real. I don't care that the kiddies are going to see the movies, this is the least of my concerns.

I am glad that it is PG, no more embarrassing moments when you take the young kids to see these things. What is wrong with a movie that is viewable by everyone. Absolutely nothing!

Are we insane. You need to have cussing in order to be considered mature. It used to be that that was a sign of immaturity. Cussing used to be a weakness not an attribute.

It is like smoking which used to be cool but everyone knew it was a killer and movies used to promote it to kids...sic.

Now people are on here complaining that the movie can now be seen by all because it is PG....... my God.

It is true then, Drugs are bad.

Cause we must be on drugs if we are complaining about a movie being PG.

I would seriously perfer not to compare FF2 to a movie in which this happens:
Sharkboy, Lavagirl and Max all jump from a fast-moving train on Planet Drool that then crashes into a "hillside" (all are okay). They land on an enormous cookie, but then hear thunderous footsteps as giant versions of Max's parents arrive and grab the cookie from its river of milk. The three jump off it just in time and land in some frosting.

And this is the only sex:
A male student spots Lavagirl and states, "She's hot."

First the 95 minutes news, now this.

No!!!!!!!! Think I'm going to go hide. This place has become too depressing and too confusing.

I'm not comparing the two that way. I'm saying the examples that have been used are found in PG films on a yearly basis including those targeting specifically for kids.

Nah, come on over and sit on the couch....have a coke and some popcorn......the fireworks have just begun.......wait till the early reviews come in tomorrow......:cwink:

Reviews? Pah... they didn't like the first one that much, I loved it. FCK CRITICS.

But, Advanced Dark- just saw that clip and it was GREAT!!!! That clip just got me hyped again in seeing the film. Not worried anymore. :)

I'm siding with HighGuard now.

There are 2 very blatant murders on screen.

Well, this has been fun kids, but it's time for bed.

As for the Thing's brow, from a photographer's point of view, yes the argument for a bigger brow is very silly.

>^^<
well from an artist point of view and a lover of the 60's comic it's not, and to prove it's not they've actualy made it larger in this flix because of fan reaction to the first film. Now if they had only had the balls and smarts to figure out a way to light it better "CGI" it would have been perfect. I love it when a photo guy whines "trash it I can't film it" ha ha I say figure out a way to do it!

oh yeh the reviews! should be fun. my buddy just gave me the free disc you get when buying the movie at circuit city. They talk to Stan Lee about his shot in the movie. He says maybe later (in another movie) they can get into the Galactus character. Sound like we're not going to see him :-(

Wait... is that different from the exlusive Silver content in the DVD itself? What else does that bonus disk contain? Might chose there have Best Buy.

This is what I mean. What makes people think that this is acceptable language. It is not, it never has been and never will be.

It will never be a good practice to use foul language, that is why it is called foul.

Just because everyone does it does not make it cool. It does not bother me really other than the fact that sometimes people who use these terms liberally think that its use is a sign of maturity or that everyone should be using those words.

How else to explain people thinking that films need to have foul language in them to be good.

If a film's source material requires it then that is one thing but why encourage foul language for the sake of foul language and to keep the kiddies out, wow.

The use of foul language has never been a good thing, and its absence is the last thing that we should be complainingabout.

There is obviously a ton of action in this movie. My main worry is that they may cut out stuff. I want more and more of the FF not less but to suggest that we should be concerned because it is rated PG.

Unbelievable
.

I think there's a few things we have to think about:

1. The Incredibles had WAY more action in it then Fantastic Four, and was PG.

2. With only 10 days left until the film is released, they JUST NOW gave it a rating.

3. The clip were the Silver Surfer meets Sue has nearly more action then the entire first film.

I think we all need to go to bad and get some sleep......you kiddies are getting cranky.....

Hell- Ben guts hit by a car and literally goes mid-way through the wall, crushing Reed behind him!!!

There, that's more action oriented than ANYTHING I saw in the previous film.

I think we all need to go to bad and get some sleep......you kiddies are getting cranky.....

Yeah, some are... :cwink:

Me, I'm not cranky- I have a huge movie day tomorrow. :woot: 'Fantastic Four' and 'Transformers' merch. part of which is a FF cut that I have been waiting YEARS to watch... Can't wait. I'm anything, but cranky right now.

I posted this as a myspace bulletin. some of you are thinking selfishly:

Rise of the Silver Surfer is rated PG!
Body: Great news for familes! This is a franchise that should be open for younger kids as well as adults. For those that are old enough remember the films that were PG when we were kids like Star Wars, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Rocky, etc...

Now look at the PG-13 films now like The Grudge, Riddick, Aliens Vs Predator, Red Dawn, etc...

Fantastic Four is a franchise families should enjoy as well so a whole new generation of fans aren't left out!

Great move Fox. This isn't the X-Men! For those who are really fans of the franchise...you know this is how it should be! Sure there will be many more kids in the audience now so if that bothers you go to a later show. Remember you were that kid once screaming during Empire Strikes Back!

-Advanced Dark!
