The Defenders Phase 2

I'd love Midnight Sons more than Nightstalkers so we can get a wider variety Blade, Werewolf by Night, Man Thing, Morbius, heck maybe even Ghost Rider.

You know, I was tempted to peg Midnight Sons as the "team up" series for the end of Netflix Phase 2, but I just couldn't see how the other heroes in that phase (Daredevil, Iron Fist, Luke, etc.) would fit into that, as the miniseries capper would probably need to include everyone.

On the other hand, Midnight Sons seems just too large to be a "solo" Netflix series. Honestly, I think it'd be better served as a movie.

I've been trumpeting Midnight Sons for a while now. It would be incredible. I'm just not sure which medium they really require.

I'd watch the **** out of a Midnight Sons movie.

My Phase 2 dream if we can only have 5 series per phase:

Daredevil Season 2
Heroes for Hire (Cage,Jones, Iron Fist)
The Punisher
Moon Knight
The Defenders Season 2 (DD, Cage, Jones, Iron Fist, Punisher, Moon Knight, Misty Knight, Colleen Wing)

The Punisher

I'd like the same.

I pretty much agree with this, I bet Daredevil season 2 will deal with The Hand vs Chaste and bring in Electra as a major character.

I could also picture and Ghost Rider series (assuming they could pull off the flaming skull under a budget) and have that be a supernatural detective type show.

I wonder if Elektra will ever join the Defenders.

If Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, Defenders = Phase 1 of the MCU Street Level what would you like to see for Phase 2?
I'd like a continuation of Daredevil and 3 new series; Heroes for Hire, Moon Knight and Punisher.
Perhaps have it culminate in a 4 parter involving Daredevil and Punisher.

Daredevil 2
Punisher
Heroes For Hire (Cage, Fist, Jessica)

I'd also like to see "Marvel Presents" which could be one or two hour shows featuring one shots of other street level characters from the Marvel Universe, like Moon Knight, The Shroud, Shang Chi, Paladin, Misty Knight & Collen Wing, etc.,...

And now that Marvel and Sony are playing nice, i really want to see a team up between Daredevil and Spider-Man... you know just a year or so ago, something like that might have been completely out of the question. Now, i honestly think anything is possible....

Daredevil Season 2
Heroes for Hire (Cage,Jones, Iron Fist)
Ghost Rider
Moon Knight
The Defenders Season 2.

I dont think Punisher can carry a series

I love this idea, giving characters who may not be able to justify spending an entire season on, but still giving them and their stories a shot. I like it.

I disagree, while I'm not certain if you can sustain a multiple season series you can definitely make one or two really strong seasons. A lot of people are predicting that Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Ironfist with just be one seasons that roll into Heroes for Hire. That's what I like about the Netflix model and how Marvel approaches these shows. It's not about pumping the next season out every year, or having fillers to fill out a quota of episodes, it's all about their faith in making a quality show.

Daredevil 2 (Bullseye and Elektra)
Jessica Jones 2 (Base it off of the Pulse)
Heroes for Hire (Luke and Danny)
Moon Knight?
Punisher?
Blade?
Shang Chi?
Winter Soldier?
Runaways?
I'd love Ghost Rider, I just think he'd be too expensive.

I want them to talk about season 2 soon, I'm sure one bones Moon Knight is happening...

We've gotten through one season of one show in Phase One (a show that will apparently have a second season in Phase One). It seems a bit early to talk about Phase Two.

Yeah and with the structure and production of television shows, I think people who are expecting a whole bunch of shows based on these characters are setting themselves up for disappointment.

I really want to see Moon Knight. Hopefully that is in the plans for the future.

Daredevil S3,Heroes for Hire,IronFist,Moon Knight
I think iron fist is strong enough to hold up a show on his own.Cage and. Jessixa merge into heroes for hire.Punisher shld remain a Daredevil supporting character.

Yeah, but Jessica Jones and Luke Cage can sustain multiple seasons if the demand is there.

This isn't the same as Marvel's film division where Kevin Feige micromanages everything and they have limited films per phase because they have to claim film release dates. This is A. TV and Jeph Loeb delegates responsibilities to his showrunners and B. Netflix and with the latter, they can have as many series as they want.

Heroes For Hire would just be Defenders with Daredevil missing. How is that different from just calling it Defenders which is a rebranded Heroes for Hire, anyway?

There's no reason to assume that the new series would cannibalize the old. Provided that all of them get strong enough ratings to be renewed, there is no reason why the rumored series (Black Widow, Moon Knight, Blade, Hawkeye, Ghost Rider, Punisher and Thunderbolts) can't exist with multiple seasons of the other shows or TV shows that Marvel haven't even hinted at but could work on a TV budget (She-Hulk, Damage Control and Elektra) can also exist. As long as the shows are profitable, Netflix and Marvel will continue to have a partnership. That's just good business.

There's so much potential for the MCU on Netflix. Givens are extra season for the current line up. DD, Iron Fist, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Defenders. But future possibilities are;

-Ghost Rider

-Punisher
-Moon Knight
-Spider-Woman
-She-Hulk
-Heroes for Hire
-Cloak and Dagger

-Fantastic Four(if they ever get the rights back)

Perhaps even a chance for some of the more mystical/monsterish characters to appear in Halloween specials. Like Werewolf by Knight, Morbius, and Man-Thing. All of which are fairly easy to do on a TV Budget...with the exception of Ghost Rider, that may need a reboot in film instead.

I'm sorry, I cannot see either Ghost Rider or *especially* Fantastic Four being viable. Netflix budget and production value is good, but not *that* good.

Ghost Rider I can understand. But they can easily do a big guy with rock skin, a guy that lights on fire, a girl that turns invisible and a guy that stretches. If they can do shows like Supergirl, Smallville and Flash on a TV Budget. The 4 aren't too out of possibility. There powers aren't really out there like Hulk, Thor or Scarlet Witch so I think it'd be pretty easy to adapt.

I'm skeptical you could make an acceptably good Thing or Reed Richards stretching on the small screen. . . but that's not the problem. Its everything else you need to do a good Fantastic Four show- specifically, incredibly Kirby environments and creatures. If the places you visit are no more fantastic than the average Star Trek episode, or worse, you spend most episodes *not* visiting fantastic places? Then it doesn't matter how good your Thing-suit is, the show is a failure.

Unless they actually put work into the pilot, so TV companies will provide them with the budget to make a good show where they can visit Fantastic places and have fantastic scenes and make a fantastic series and get fantastic reviews which will help renew the series for more episodes, etc.

But movie or show, the Fantastic Four film just came out. It's going to be a while before we see the Fantastic Four on screen again, ESPECIALLY the chance that we see them in the MCU since Fox is moving through with the sequel.

I think the recent movie just showed us what a FF tv show would look like. Sparse action/special effects scenes, hardly any time spent on other worlds, and most scenes taking place in labs.

No thanks.

The Fantastic Four is all about epic, bigger-than-life adventures.

No TV budget is going to lend itself to that.

Aw, dreams crushed. But sometimes, people dream to big. So it's too be expected. Hopefully something happens that allows the FF to appear in the MCU sooner.

I am not expecting a new series for a character we haven't seen before or an Elektra series. But I want to see a Moon Knight series and perhaps there would be another costumed person in the Defenders squad and not just the Daredevil.
