I popped in the DVD today and quickly noticed this!

The Phoenix pose is hopefully inspired by the comics, although Coreo is right in so far as the the poses being essentially identical. The Queen of the Damned poster is much more similar to Jean's pose in The Last Stand posters than the actual pose featured in the comics.

And I got all excited because I thought that, with the new Phoenix statue, there might be a new Phoenix poster as well. Dam!

Ha, when I clicked on this thread I thought it was gonna be a unreleased Phoenix poster

But yeah, the pose for that movie looks like Phoenix's pose but its just a coincidence.

ewww queen of the damned, bad memories. But that Queen in the movie did similiarily turn people to ash (sort of like the demolecularizing done by Jean in X3)

Simple coincidence. You could probably find a ton of images with people posing that way. It ain't a very unique pose..

I'M saying it. We all have seen the 'Phoenix' concepts, but we got Dark Willow on the final print. The Iceman effect in X2 was awesome. It was original. In X3, it looks just like Subzero's in Mortal Kombat: Annihilation.
