one of my coping mechanisms for traumatic things is to take pictures of them... car accidents, face accidents, etc.

This was in January. The guy on the right jumped up for a frisbee in a very crowded game of ultimate and landed with the point of his bent elbow right on my face just below my eye. The kids there said it was like a Quentin Tarantino movie... most of the blood was all over the gym floor. The best part was it was Friday the 13th. I got 13 stitches... 6 internal 7 external because it went all the way down to the bone.

Gross!

Sounds a bit like me. Everyone going past the windows of our science block used to bang on them because it made the tech jump. I would be the one person to put the heel of my hand through the window. Sadly, nobody had a camera to take a picture of the blood. I'm accident prone though. First day working recovery I fell into the truck mantainence pit not looking where I was going. Broken ribs and fingers.

I remember when I spent virtually every moment of free time on a dirt bike or skateboard. I miss it. Skateboarding left me with a permanently stretched tendon in my ankle though, so I can't do it anymore.

I need a bike. An escape from the mundane. I'm so sick of getting up everyday just to go to work or school or both and then go home and go to bed. Being on a dirt bike is the most amazing feeling, everything just melts away. It doesn't matter if you're Joe Millionaire, Brad Pitt, or some lonely little comic book nerd the world doesn't understand.
