If you aren't the least bit curious about the new movie "Pirate Radio", it's likely because a:you haven't heard about it yet, b:the movie's not playing in your area, c: you'd rather waste 12 bucks to sit through 2012(in the dictionary, look under moron), or d: you have no appreciation for 60's rock music. For those of you that fall into the "a" category, lemme fill you cats in on a few selling points. The film stars Philip Seymour Hoffman virtually reprising his role from the movie Almost Famous, it's got Bill Nighy, it's got Nick Frost(no Simon Pegg, though. Sorry), and it's got about 50 classic tunes in it. This is made by the same bloke that made 4 Weddings and a funeral, Love, Actually, but don't worry, Hugh Grant or a rom-com plot comes nowhere near this rock fest. If you have any appreciation for something other than s*** that goes boom(a small percentage, I wager), at least, check out the trailer for Pirate Radio. Simply put, it rocks.

i do think Pirate Radio is a better title than The Boat that Rocked.

It totally is. I mean, mostly cause' Boat That Rocked sounds like a misleading title. It sounds like "Boogie Nights" on the open sea, not as though THAT would make for a less entertaining, not to mention pants-dropping, romp with plenty of T and A to spare. You use the term, Pirate Radio, you think Pump Up the Volume, you think American Graffitti. There's a lot to be said about simplicity in a movie title, but not to make it sound too generic or anything. Cheers, mate.

No, this is playing in my area. I just don't care to watch it. It has gotten mediocre reviews and the story doesn't interest me. May watch it when it comes on tv.

It was pretty good. I just felt it wasn't completely finished. Needed some tweaking here and there.

I want to see this.... The Who Sell Out is a very important album to me, so the pirate stations have always been legendary to me.
