Pixar's Brave - In Theaters Summer 2012

Cars was OK.

but like I said...for me...Pixar will never top Incredibles and Wall-E...at least for me.

I really liked teh film though I enjoyed the first half better than the 2nd half.

Just finished watching this. I loved it. Some of the dialogue was bit on the nose, but I got over that quickly. That is kind of how parents and kids talk to one another at that point in their relationship.

I loved how it seemed that at some point everyone in the castle gave up on raising the boys, and just let them do what they want as long as nobody gets really hurt. :awesome:

lol so adorable- I kinda wanna see more of them.
Maybe a mini story on the dvd bluray.

They were obviously inspired by Huey, Dewey and Louie. Which is cool.

I posted my review on my blog. But just to summarize...I was pretty let down by the movie. I thought it looked fantastic and easily raises the bar for Pixar in terms of animation. But the story itself was pretty flat. They put the effort into making a vibrant world but we barely get to see it. Also, this was a lot more geared towards kids than other Pixar films so it felt more like a Disney film than a typical Pixar work of art.

did anyone else really like the short before the movie ?

The short's pretty good. I saw it an Oscar's short showcase back in February.

I spy with my little eye, the Pizza Planet truck!

saw the film...It was great. Certainly better then the Cars series, but no Toy Story

finally got around to seeing Brave.

I absolutely loved it!!

Brave was good! It was a very kiddy movie, but I liked the mother/daughter relationship aspect, and I wish more movies did that sort of relationship. It is worth watching, and not as bad as I've heard some haters make it out to be.

I didn't watch it yet, most of the bad reviews say the mother/daughter relationship isn't as strong as the father/son relationship Pixar normally uses, which seems a little sexist.

I will trust the SHH members and ask if it was in league with Pixar's best films.

I'm late to the thread but I wondered why the witch bothered to set up the knife trap if all she left was the answer messages. Maybe she was senile. If it was in the dialouge I missed it.

please tell me he's not too high on the totem pole at pixar, his sensibilities spit in the face of everything that has made pixar great, he seems more concerned with churning out a product then telling a great story. don't get me wrong, Brave was alright, better than cars at least, but it wasn't near the level of quality that pixar has hit multiple times in the past.
