Please Help! Computer Issue!!??!

Umm... everytime Ireboot, my comp looks like it's in safe mode.

I can't use the mouse in normal mode, but I can in safe mode. The only way to use the net is in normal mode, but the mouse doesn't work in normal mode, and I'm stuck tabbing everything.

Is my computer dying? Can I fix it?

The screen looks really weird!!

It's a seven year old computer. i'm not going to bother calling HP support.

Sounds like one of two things to me:
1. Software issue. If you've installed any new devices or software since this has started happening uninstall it or if you can roll your pc back then do that.

2. Hardware Issue. Your Video card is either dying or the driver is messed up on it. Uninstall and reinstall your vid card.

You can do all of this in safe mode. First thing i'd try is uninstalling your display adapter in safe mode then reboot. If that didnt fix it then I'd start uninstalling any software or devices ive installed since this started happening. Good Luck.

I did a system restore back to June. It fails every time I do it.
