I'm a lifelong Batman fan. I also dig Flash and Superman, and I have recently become obsessed with GL after I bought Rebirth, No Fear, and Sinestro Corps War vol 1 and 2. Having said all that, I don't subscribe to anything regularly for fear of being thrown in the middle of an ongoing story. So, if I were to start subscribing to something right now, what would be the best one to choose? I've thought about subscribing to Batman, but too many people have told me that there's a lot I'd have to catch up on with all the RIP stuff, batman and son, black glove, etc. So I've just about ruled that one out for right now. If I went into a series completely blind and unknowing, what story would be the best and least confusing to jump into right now?

I'd honestly say get Morissons Batman stories; the Black Glove Trade and RIP trade are great.

Then Final Crisis trade will be out soon.

Then you can jump onto Batman and Robin series starting soon.

Thanks, just ordered RIP and the black glove. I already had batman and son 1-3 from a lot I got off Ebay. Guess I should seek out the rest of it. When does the Batman and Robin series your talking about start up?

If you want some great classic Batman stories, you can subscribe to Batman Confidential. I think it's the best Batman series currently being put out.

If you don't want to get bogged down in all the Batman drama that is currently going on, following what's going to happen with Blackest Night in Green Lantern and Green Lantern Corps, and the main book and ALL the tie-ins if you got the cash. Batman is coming back from the dead...and, I'm guessing after that, we might get things a bit back to normal with him.

No he's not.

The Blackest Night: Batman mini is about the Flying Graysons coming back from the dead and how the current Batman - Dick - reacts to it. Bruce Wayne himself isn't technically dead, so he wouldn't be resurrected as part of the Black Lantern Corps.

Geoff Johns' winds up his JSA run soon and is being replaced by Bill Williingham. If you're in any way familiar with Fables, you'll know this is cause to celebrate. You could probably jump on that when he starts...

Look at my sig and if any title there captures your interest wiki it and see if it's fit for you as a reader.
