Police: Boy Says He Killed Parents Because He Let Them Down

That really irks me when people that kill others say "they were doing it for their own good, to save themselves from something, etc." You killed them because you were weak yourself, and couldn't handle something yourself, they had nothing to do with it.

and he thought living with his parents was bad???? where hes going to be heading, living with his parents was heaven.

I wouldn't rush to judgment. On the face of it, it seems pretty bad, but who knows what exactly drove him to take such drastic measures. Maybe his parents were very abusive, we don't know yet.

Consider this though, they raised him. So essentially, they raised a kid who wound up wanting to murder them. Doesn't say much about their parenting skills. Maybe he's crazy, but maybe they weren't great parents, either. That doesn't necessarily mean they deserved to be murdered.

^I can see that, but there are plenty of ****ed up kids that do ****ed up things and their parents were always there for them. They just were anomolies.

Um, if you felt like you were a disappointment to your parents, wouldn't you kill YOURSELF, instead of THEM?

Not that I condone either, of course.

^Sure you don't, you murderer.

His parents weren't unbreakable.

ah, kids these days, so cute.

That's essentially what i'd wonder too. Why'd he have such easy access to a firearm? Every kid wants to kill their parents sometimes, but there's usually no easy way to do it.

His lawyer, Darren Shull, said Brighton experienced traumatic events that would "shock and disturb the community," but Shull would not say more.

What's that mean?

what a loser kid.....i wanna kick him in the nuts after hearing stuff like that

i hope he escapes in fifteen years so he can go after a babysitter on halloween night .

Parents don't realize how much they are being watched by thier kids, especally the father,The father is the one who is being studied by their son's the most. Most fathers don't realize that. It's true.

That's just sick, I really can't understand kids like this. What kind of f'ed up thinking does this come from?

I'm thinking maybe there is more to this.

I'm thinking maybe his parents were *******s.

He says he felt he disappointed them. Maybe they pressured him and pressured him and presured him? Constantly knocking him down? Till he had no self esteem anymore?

Yeah, its completely ridiculous. You could make the argument he could have killed them with a knife, but still. The statistics really do show that you're far more likely to have an accident with a gun around the house than you are to use it in some action style scene of self defense :whatever:

Killing is wrong, but killing a family member is real wrong.
