Teen calls 911 after parents take away Xbox

If the kid actually paid for his X-box 360 and all the games and stuff with it, the parents have no damn legal right to take it away. But he's 15, so I doubt he paid for it.

So, as long as a 15 year purchases something, Parents have no say what so ever on the parenting decisions? How about the Parents cut off the Electricity to their little brat? I'm sure Mommy and Daddy pay for that.

This is almost as bad as the kid that killed himself when his parents took away his iPod.

Or the kid that killed himself when his parents took away Fallout 3.
or the kid that killed his mom and almost his dad for taking away Halo 3.

Really I love my games and these dumb kids are making them look evil and bad for the brain.

Four words that every parent should know and use: My house, my rules. :o

Parents, beat your kids.

That's the problem nowadays, not enough parents beating their kids' asses.

There's a limit, though. Once your kid becomes a teen, it stops being a spanking/whooping and starts being a fight. That's why you gotta get those ass whoopings out of the way before their age hits double digits. To this day, I flinch when my mom turns at me funny, and she's only 4'11".

Calling 911 on your parents is grounds for ass-kickery. I still don't know how kids get away with telling their parent to shut up.

My parents would have murdered me if I did anything like that. I doesn't matter who bought what. Especially when you're that age. You live in their house. You are their kid. You do what they say. These little punks these days don't get it! I'm still young as hell and I can see the next gen is going down the drain!

Wow, what a shocker. Yet another kid who thinks they are entitled to whatever they want. Boo f***ing Hoo. Welcome to the new world where we coddle everyone, no child left behind, PC till you puke, "it's not my fault," no responsibility having society.

Kids grow up being shown that no matter what they do "it's OK." Throw a tantrum and you just wait for them to calm down and have a nice "talk" with them.

Idiot kid sleds down a street during winter and hits a car and the parent then tries to sue the people who parked the car on the street. I can't remember half the things I plowed into when sledding or riding my bike (probably why I can't remember them :P ) but I always knew it was my own fault.

Fail in school...well, no child left behind....we'll let you move on to the next grade anyways. Yay!! Works great!!! We'll see how well that works for you when you get a job and fail.

I think No Child Left Behind forces school curriculums to put heavy emphasis on standardized tests, not pass failing kids onto the next grade.

Some of these kids need to nut up and find something else to do with their time. Get a hobby. Play a sport. Read a book. *********e. Smoke weed.
The hobbies you listed are no more helpful. I think it's unfair for people to say people that play video games have no life. Really video games are alot better than what the rest of the world does for fun.

I play games, but there's a limit. If my parents had taken away my video game systems as punishment, I'd have found something else to do instead of calling the police. I stand by my statement.

I agree. I had a full blown fight with my dad when I was 17 I think it was. He ****ed me up sure, but I got a few good licks in.

The point is, you hit a older teenager and they are gonna hit you back. Well maybe that was just me. Plus it started because he hit me from behind, I ain't having that **** off nobody.

My dad and I never got into a fist fight. Why would I want to get my ass kicked?

You don't fight just coz you think you're gonna win. Well I didn't. I fought because I didn't like being punched in the back of the head.

Sure, I've had my fair share of shoving matches with my dad. But that's about as far as it would go.

I couldn't see myself fighting my dad.

Well I didn't enjoy it. It was a spur of the moment, red mist descends thing. I remember saying to him if you're gonna punch me do it face to face...so then he did :funny:

But we are cool now, no hard feelings between us.

Ace: "If you're gonna punch me...do it to my FACE!"
Ace Sr: "Well, since you insisted...".

:funny: HAHA that is pretty much what happened.

Looking back now though, I could tell he was pulling his punches. No matter how tough you think you are, daddy can always put you in your place.

I hate hate hate HATE when my dad and I would "get into it" and he'd be like "Hit me, C'MON! HIT ME!". I'd just walk away. Then get the "Yeah! What I thought, *****!".

I used to get into it with my older brother all the time while growing up. Not so much, now that he's come home from prison.

Fighting is the only way some male family members can really show their feelings though. Talking is for the ladies. You want to challenge the alpha male, and once he puts you down, that mutual respect is earned.

Yup  Like I said me and my dad are good pals now. He doesn't live with me anymore but we meet up once a week for some beers n that.

I understand what you mean but I am really really REALLY against not getting punched in the face.
