Apparently, the police collected samples from this "person of interest", like DNA, and then released him. Doesn't mean that he's innocent, but for now it seems like the police doesn't have enough evidence to keep him behind bars yet. What's interesting is that the young man is living with his girlfriend, and they are supposedly engaged to be marry in 2011. Doesn't mean he didn't have a hidden obsession about Annie Le and had a motive to kill her, however.

Not surprised, given what we've been told regarding his injuries and that she was strangled. She definitely would have put up a struggle before succumbing.
