BTW, I do encourage everyone that participates in the polls to check in on the other topic where I'm putting together the poll options. Feedback is appreciated and I don't want to miss anything.

Heck, maybe an interesting conversation will break out.

The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers

The lord of the rings films are my favourite movies. I adore them.

It really is. Edward Norton's performance was as captivating as it gets. Especially the "**** you" scene, god dayum.

Philip Seymour Hoffman and Barry Pepper rock this film aswell. the scenes they share are hilarious. ''That is, because I happened to be blessed with a very big dick''.

I'm still sticking by what I said, Red Dragon is very good. I prefer it to Hannibal even. Directed by Ratner? Yeah, but he did a good job I think for someone like him.

In case anyone's wondering, no I have not seen Manhunter.

I voted Spider-man becuase some of my other favorites (Spirited away, Insomnia, etc.) have NO chance in winning. And although I think Two Towers is a better film than Spider-man I had to vote for Spider-man since it has a really special place in my heart and brings me so much memories. Its a lot more than just another movie to me.

I fully expect The Two Towers to win this, and I am a big fan of all three LOTR films, but honestly I felt this was the weakest installment. On the other hand, of the three big Martin Scorcese films this decade, Gangs of New York is my favourite and the best movie of 2002. This is also the year I started taking Leonardo DiCaprio seriously as he completely rebuilt his career after being a teen heartthrob for the past 5. Daniel Day Lewis gives perhaps my second favourite performance of the decade behind...Daniel Day Lewis in a film I'll be discussing when we get to the 2007 topic.

i voted for spider-man. just like sentinel x said..that movie brings back so many memories. this movie is what got me into the whole comic universe. i was young..and when this movie came out, i saw it 3 times in theaters and watched it practically everyday when it came out on dvd. not saying it IS the best film of 2002..but its the only film that year that meant something to me.

other than this film..other films i have to note that i thought were awesome.

lotr: two towers. (how can you not love this movie?)
death to smoochy (i just watched this movie last night..great film)
harry potter 2 (its a secret love :P)
signs (one of the best 'scary' films i had seen in a long time. still watch it every now and then)
