Did you expect it to be any good? The reason TLW was a let down is because it came after greatness that was JP. We all EXPECTED something as good or better than JP. After TLW, I did not care about JPIII. I knew it would be terrible. This thread is not about what is the worst sequel, it is about the biggest let dows... sequels to great movies that promised to be great and were not. For me, that was The Lost World.Bishop2 said:Jurassic Park III. Always Jurassic Park III.
Horrible continuity, some of the worst I've ever seen not only between films in a series, but internally. Horrible, grating characters who are portrayed as unrealistically stupid (ahem, the divorced couple). ZERO plot logic. Half-assed scoring and directing. Toned-down dinosaurs with zero tension.
It is an abomination. People actually hate The Lost World, and I can't understand why they don't see that even if you don't like that one, it's fifty times better than JP3, one of the worst of "big budget" Hollywood's worst.

The sad thing was the Lost World, as a novel, was decent. The movie was completely off!
I really don't think they did; they're just voting for it b/c it was so bad.That-Guy said:As I predicted, most people voted for Batman and Robin. But I do have to say this: Batman and Robin was probably the worst movie that was mentioned there but we also have to consider that Batman Forever was also really bad and Batman Returns wasn't a good movie either (IMO, anyway). When we look at the bad direction the Batman movies had been headed, it really shouldn't have been a surprise to anyone how after B & R turned out to be. So were we REALLY disappointed? If you're disappointed in something, then that means you once had hope for the project. But no one should have had ANY hope for B & R after seeing Batman Forever.

I didn't think "Forever" was all that bad, myself. It had some good points, such as the relationship between Bruce & Dick, and the exploration of Bruce's past. But it was, by & large, a toy commercial & we let WB get away with it. We really should've seen where they were going. But between the casting, the villain pairing (Cold kills plants, duh) the trailers & even the title, who over the age of 15 can really say they expected "Batman & Robin" to be a good movie?

Why demand what is automatically yours?Warhammer said:Just wondering, Did Arnold demand the top-billing or did WB just give him top-billing because of his career outshadowing everyone else?
