Just from the replies in this thread the MAJORITY consensus would seem to be:

Option 3: Spider-man 2, Spider-man, Spider-man 3

And I would appear to be in the minority :)

Btw, I don't think I'm allowed a poll on this subject if one already exists, but I can't find it..........

While option 3 seems to be the leader, option 5 (SM3, SM2. SM) is pushing it close!

Ok I found this thread:

http://forums.superherohype.com/showthread.php?t=272236&highlight=poll

Which is similar, but not quite the same.

(I saw SM3 opening day, then literally boarded a plane, left the country, and had no internet access for 10days. The entire time I was wondering what discussion was going on in here, as I was quite disappointed with SM3. The thread linked above thread only lasted 3 days).

However, i still wouldn't mind this thread polled just to see the spread. It does genuinely appear to be the case that a lot of people rate SM3 very highly and feel it is better than the others. While I find this surprising, the Box Office figures would appear to back it up (although the weak dollar, and perhaps language differences in other countries are keeping the International BO high, while the US BO is not breaking records).

1. Spider-man, Spider-man 2, Spider-man 3

Spiderman 2 was going good for me until that train scene i turned it off at that point. why does spiderman always have to get his mask taken off of him, or ripped apart, if he wanted to conceal his idenity wouldn't he make sure the mask work better to protect his secret.

Spiderman II (Outstanding) , Spiderman 1(Very Good)..and then far behind Spiderman III (Very Average).

Spider-man 3(It felt more like spider-man to me. He was having fun for once), Spider-man(It was really cool when I first watched it. But now I can barely sit thre it). Spider-man 2(big disapointment when I first saw it, and still can't watch it now.)

Per Drmick's request I've added a poll for your viewing pleasures. So go vote yer hearts out my pretties!

Thank you kindly.

I voted SM, SM2, SM3.

Personally I think the first is the best. I had no problem with the GG costume.

It is the ONLY film of the trilogy where Tobey Maguire had a physique anywhere near what we would expect of Spidey.

The only problem I had with it, were the occasional editing error and the 16:9 Academy Flat aspect ratio (not many people mention that, as SM2 and SM3 go with the 2.35:1 Academy Scope "widescreen" ratio).

I do think that SM2 has the better action sequences, but, seriously, too much lovey-dovey stuff. Maybe that's why girls and the more effeminate American males seemed to prefer it!

(Please note: that last sentence is a joke).

spidey 2 best of the 3
then spidey 1
and last but least spidey 3

Option 1. There are a lot more flaws in the plot of SM2 than most tend to acknowledge, and a lot less wrong in the first film than most choose to believe. I ranked SM3 last for being the worst in cohesion and plot to date. The acting wasn't where it should have been either.

1) Spider-Man 2: 10/10
2) Spider-Man: 8.5/10
3) Spider-Man 3: 7.5/10

Overall I'm happy with all 3 together, though.

A lot of posts in the "Think fanboys over-reacted" thread. This poll may be worth a few more votes to corroborate the discussion in that thread.
