Yearly update and Fantastic Four broke into my top 5 I think, surprised how much I enjoyed it and felt like Marvel firing on all cylinders again. Thunderbolts was a nice blast and a bit different but didnt rock my world. Captain America BNW just felt like a rushed, bland effort that was majorly effected by either Covid or the writers strike. Next year is big one though and I expect even more with big hitters like Spiderman +Punisher and Doomsday.

I'm easier to please than some, so my grades will likely be on the high side, but I liked the idea of grading them. Entertainment value, action, connection to the whole, and individual performances are my guidelines. I don't really care if they were terribly accurate to any written material.

Grade A
1. Avengers: Infinity War
2. Avengers: Endgame
(these are the best of the best.)
3. The Avengers - this one did the impossible of putting the group together seamlessly
4. Captain America: The Winter Soldier
5. Fantastic Four: First Steps - Galactus pushes it over the top
6. Guardians of the Galaxy
7. Captain America: Civil War
8. Iron Man - If this hadn't worked, we might not see a list
9. Spider-Man: Homecoming - Great to see Spider-Man in the MCU
10. Black Panther
11. Deadpool & Wolverine

Grade A-/B+ (certain aspects add or detract in these)
12. Spider-Man: No Way Home - Had highs and lows, but most was the fault of the poorly executed multiverse saga
13. Spider-Man: Far From Home
14. Captain America: The First Avenger
15. Thor
16. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
17. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 - Weirdness but somehow most of the GotG stuff works
18. Doctor Strange
19. Thor: Ragnarok - I liked this one for many of the same reasons I dislike Love and Thunder
20. Avengers: Age of Ultron - Adding Scarlett Witch and Vision as well as high action. This one should be ranked higher than it is.

Grade B
21. Thunderbolts* - some great emotional character work albeit with lesser characters
22. Iron Man 3 - Only held back by a questionable twist and some questionable CG
23. Ant-Man - Charming movie surprisingly well cast
24. Captain Marvel - Unfortunately not so likeable lead
25. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness - upon multiple watches it has gone up my list
26. Shang-Chi - have a hard time with this one... the 10 rings part wasn't great (we need more Shang Chi though)

Grade B-/C+ (I still consider these better than most movies I see - highly watchable - above average)
27. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever - I know some didn't like Namor, but I'd like to see him more
28. Captain America: Brave New World - Need to see it again, but it was polished
29. Iron Man 2
30. Black Widow - Taskmaster was a bummer, the connections were great. Wish it had come sooner.
31. Ant-Man & The Wasp
32. The Incredible Hulk
33. The Marvels - Iman Vellani is great. The movie was just above average.

Grade C
34. Thor: The Dark World
35. Eternals - I'd still like to see more Kingo or Sersi
36. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania - Need to rewatch, but it felt like it needed some work.

Grade D
37. Thor: Love & Thunder - not very entertaining, wasted potential, nonsense
