His choice of cinematography just doesn't match up with the "dark and moody" feel of that pic. Plus his use of lighting on Batman reeaaallly sucks ass imo. :o

But hey, as long as there's realism, it's all good!!!!1111

Seriously, I agree. It'd be nice if he toned down the lighting for the sequel. There were plenty of shots in the movie that could've looked so much better.

I want to see him on his perch, looking down at Gotham, and another thing that I loved in the other Batman movies is how he just jumped down off of something and let himself fall for a good while until he used thatgrappling hook or whatever... it made me feel like I was watching a bat swoop in for a meal of something.

Not really, I actually quite love it. Am I not allowed to say what I find wrong with the film? Is everything so Black and white to you?

Well, I haven't heard anything good about BB from you yet.

And I am not racist, where is the proof of this?

I've already posted my love for BB plenty of times under a different name last year. It's getting old typing out all the things right with BB, because everyone here is pretty much in agreement here anyway.

And it was a joke, sparkie.

Well, Nolan proved that he is worth director for Batman and people don't have problems with him. But I cant understand you. You think like I liked this movie, but it is time to say that it wasn't good

Not so good joke, it made me feel sick and bad :(

OVERALL, I liked the film a lot. But that doesn't mean I have my fair share of problems with it. A major one being that Nolan completely took out the dark and atmospheric nature of Batman. And like Sage said, a lot of the shots in the film could've looked a lot better if Nolan lit him better. Look at Burton's films to see how lighting should be done. It was perfect.

Every new director puts something new in his movies.

BB had dark atmosphere, just look at that scene with Craine and his henchmen in the flat.

Burton made very good Batman movies, but it doesn't mean that everything what Nolan is doing is bad.

He told better Batman's story, made more logical script and put something new in this franchise, what worked well.

It has new vissual style, but that doesn't mean it is bad idea.

Yeah, it's too bad the rest of the film wasn't lit like that.

Huh? No one said everything Nolan's doing is bad. BB is better than B89 (though B89 is more fun on so many levels). And the only problem I have with the visual style is the lack of shadow. Before anyone yells realism, parts of Washington D.C. and NYC is lit darker.

The atmosphere and lighting were what I liked best about the movie (aside from the acting) If I were going to take issue with anything, it'd be more of the story/plot stuff.

Well, I think if Nolan wants to put more realism in this hero, it doesn't hurt the movie.

I can agree, BB would be even better with a bit darker style, but it isn't so big problem.

One of the best things in BB is cinematography, which was really great. Especially, I liked scenes with explosion in Ras temple, which was very effective.

I know that Batman shouldn't be very realistic, but it works well without so mush fantastic stuff.
