I don't know if you remember when HBO did that Shakespeare animated series about 6,7 years ago, they had some really great realistic Ross style art in those animations, so it isn't impossible.

Kingdom Come might be cool in the Dini style too though.

I'd like to see HBO take the Elseworlds books and animate them, because I think they would work really well on an HBO style time slot.

I had an idea for how to make an animated Kingdom Come, using Green Screen, CGI, and rotoscoping animation, like in the Scanner Darkly movie. I posted a thread about it somewhere.
The problem with a Kingdom Come movie would be that so much would get cut or changed, like in the Death of Superman cartoon. It would end up loosing a lot.
