IDW spotlight is just a comic called "Transformers Spotlight" which focuses on a single character in the TF Universe.

Sixshot is a Decepticon:oldrazz: .

His counterpart. In Japan he was at odds mostly with Ultra Magnus. In the toyline when he was released in 1987 he was one of a kind. However the following year an Autobot named Quickswitch (Six Knight in Japan - and recolored) was released. He would only be featured in the Masterforce cartoon.

Later in Victory in Japan and remolded Decepticon Sixshot was re-released a Greatshot, an Autobot Warrior. He featured a different head and transformed into a Rhino instead of a Wolf.

Wow looking at these pics makes me want to go through my G1 DVD collection again.

Grimlock in my opinion is far better in Season 3 than any other Season. I love Waiter Grimlock for example. If I remember correctly it is from the episode Madman's Paradise. Not the greatest ep, but Grimlock rules. Grimlock's New Brain and Call of the Primitives are his two standout episodes...hell he creates the Technobots for crying out loud.

I hated in the Dreamwave comics that when the combiners merged they would grow to 10x their regular size. Not to mention their puffy style look to the Transformers.
Yeah cause it's not like they never did anything like that on the show ever. :whatever: Oh wait.... :o

Jetfire/Skyfire was always my favorite Transformer but i still don't get it why he has 2 names. Can anyone explain that to me ???

That's a long story. Hasbro created the Transformers when they imported their Japanese partner, Takara, transforming robot toy lines. Specifically Microman micro-change, and Diaclone Car robots. The Microman toys were the autobot mini-bots (all of them), and any 84 or 85 TF that turns into an handheld item. The Diaclone toys were all the Autobot cars (pre movie), decepticon jets, the constructicons, Dinobots, Insecticons, early triple changers, Omnibots, powerdashers, and Optimus Prime. Now in 1985 TF's blew-up big time. So Hasbro started leasing any toy mold that transformed from a robot into something else to get more TF product on the shelves. The deluxe autobot cars and insecticons, Shockwave, Omega Supreme, and Jetfire all came into the TF line in this way. Shockwave was ToyCo's Astro Magnum toy. Omega Supreme came from Toybox. The other ones (including Jetfire) came from Bandai. Jetfire specifically is a Macross VHF-1 Valkyrie fighter, with autobot symbols on him.

After seeing Hasbro's success with TF's Takara decided to release the TF's themselfs in Japan. But Bandai was/is Takara's main competitor in the Japanese market, and here was a TF line porminently featuring a competitors toy. So what happened is that Jetfire's animation model was changed, from what the toy looks like to what you see in the cartoon. And he was renamed Skyfire to distance him from the Macross Valkyrie. It's why he was never featured very much.
