nope thats why i ask, each piece of art has a code below it you can copy and paste for embedding on forums and blogs

    <object width="450" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://backend.deviantart.com/embed/view.swf" /><param name="flashvars" value="id=41612640&width=1337" /><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always" /><embed src="http://backend.deviantart.com/embed/view.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="450" flashvars="id=41612640&width=1337" height="385" allowscriptaccess="always"></embed></object><br /><a href="http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/41612640/">expedition everest</a> by ~<a class="u" href="http://the-ultimate-evil.deviantart.com/">the-ultimate-evil</a> on <a href="http://www.deviantart.com">deviant</a><a href="http://www.deviantart.com">ART</a>

thats an example of the code for one of my pieces. basiclly what you see is a small thumbnail of the piece with a border that shows who did it and acts as a link back to that persons gallery

have you tried right clicking it and then finding out the url and posting that?

why don't you just reload it using the hype?

its to do with size and such a lot of the pieces on dev art by most of the artists are huge and would stretch the page. plus anyone found hot linking tends to end up on the banned list over at dev art

so a no go one this, it would cut down on bandwidth theft when a lot of people post work from there and would be great in the fan art and photography threads

    http://devart.maureenwinter.de/embed.html

thats an example of what they look like

    the faq post about them

You're going to need to take an image, register it at some place like www.photobucket.com or www.imageshack.us, and then get the url that those kinds of sites create for the image. You then take that url and plg into [IMG], only with no spaces in between the tags and url.
