Potential Deadshot Solo?

Don't do a Deadshot movie. Just give Will all the focus in the Suicide Squad sequel

It's possible no one but Amanda Waller and maybe Rick Flag will be back for the sequel and maybe a whole new group of villains could be featured.
Possible Task Force X members could include King Shark, Killer Frost, Bronze Tiger, Plastique, Count Vertigo, and Bane as possible members.

Out of that list, Bane is basically the only one that'd get me excited. Going with some members of the Secret Six would be acceptable

^^ From Facebook:

Deadshot solo would be a "John Wick" meets "Lethal Weapon" with a soldier and sharpshooter with Roman Sionis a.k.a Black Mask as the villain.

Sounds optimistic and promising, but not without the right person writing or behind the camera.

Agreed on all accounts, with the right kind of creative folk attached to the project a solo Deadshot movie might work out very well.

BTDub, the person who posted this on Facebook wants Antoine Fuqua to direct the movie.

I said on the last page this could be the John Wick of CBMs. Said a number of times keep it lower budget wise and it's less of a risk. I actually think this movie could turn out really good with the right approach and people. There are stuff in Deadshot history that could be the focus of the movie as well.

I'd certainly rather see a flash fil before a Deadshot film if I had the choice but if it means just one more movie in whatever particular year, I'm happy. I'll check it out.

Deadshot: Beginnings:

Replace El Jefe with Black Mask and his son (in the comics) with his daughter, and you've got a fun little noir romp with touches of Southern Gothic.

Those would be great additions. Count Vertigo, Killer Frost, and Bronze Tiger especially, plus we need a proper take on Bane.

This movie has a lot of potential. I think with this and GCS they're covering for Squad's bad word of mouth. Capitalize on the best parts and use those film to reunite Hype for a Squad sequel.

Hell, a solo Alfred film has more potential than Deadshot ( the Alfred character on "Gotham" is more interesting than Deadshot, and Pertwee's performance is certainly better than Smith's).

Put Alfred in the TARDIS and I'm there!!

A Deadshot solo movie makes no sense. I mean, he's a Batman villain.

Literally my thought as well. (Well, not the Black Mask part) Ostrander wrote a great backstory for Floyd during the original run of Suicide Squad. It's dark and intimate, and if they really want to make this movie, then that's something that they should adapt.

It's unfortunate that Floyd was toned down a bit in Suicide Squad though. Will brought his A-game, but the depth of the character wasn't really there. (Not that it was there for anyone else, but the original run of Suicide Squad did a good job of fleshing out Floyd that the film adaptation was just a bigger disappointment.)

I don't see why him doing the latter wouldn't be an issue. But really, this doesn't need to have a huge budget at all. The character shoots people and is good at it, so you don't need a big world ending plot or anything, just a few interesting shoot outs. This could be the John Wick of CBMs.

I think it's pretty evident you don't like Will Smith, so from the start we are on different wavelengths on that.

My thoughts exactly. I suspect this will be another movie people will be waiting to fail.

I've stated I would be interested in like the other 9 DCEU movies that have yet to have a release date then a Deadshot movie.

But he can speak in full and grammatically correct sentences.

"LADY YOU ARE EVIL!!!!"

Lol english not my first language but Deadshot not have that excuse and at least my sentences not as stupid as that :woot:

Agreed. It just DCEU being desperate to cash on Will Smith.

I've found Deadshot in the comics (from Ostrander's pen; there's some wretched ones from what I think is the Silver Age where he's a terrible throw away Bat villain) and in film more interesting than most of the heroes. He's done some bad stuff, but he's not outright evil. He's not good nor of good mental health by any stretch of the imagination, but his demons make for good story material.

Introing Black Mask is great, but I still wanna see Tattoo Man.

I could say something about Downey getting as much screen time as Evans in Civil War, and being featured in the Spider-Man: Homecoming trailer, but I won't.

I thought the depth was there - enough to make me care about him. Going forward, they need Marnie or someone like her to explore his mother issues and build up the deathwish thing from the comics.

" Hey, let's make movies out of the only characters in our ****** films that audiences liked when we're still trying to juggle a bunch of other character introductions and storylines , that'll show em lolololololololol "

A Deadshot solo? ZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzZ....

I would argue that the difference is that IM's presence in both films is part of a long-term, well-planned plot-line, whereas the Deadshot discussion appears to be a reactive business decision. I could be wrong, of course.
