I love the ending idea, except Selina Kyle... Nolan himself said that in the future that there are two villains he wouldn't use for 3... Penguin is not his style and Catwoman's claws are still dulled thanks to the Halle Berry film...

therefore Penguin and Catwoman will not be in the 3rd film... maybe by the time the 4th one is made Catwoman will make an appearance, but not this early... I'm leaning towards Vicky Vale...

But the idea of everything starting from scratch is a good idea... Batman worked so hard in BB and TDK to stop crime and because of the Joker it went right back to where it was before BB... and now Batman has to earn the GPD's trust again (or at least Gordon's)... so Batman 3 is still kinda like Batman Begins... :P

I havent seen a thread on this topic, so I just wanted to bring it up.

How do you guys think The Dark Knight will end? Simple as that. My prediction is: Joker will scar two-face (dont know the reason), then two-face kills joker out of revenge. The only reason why I want joker to die is because I dont want another actor replacing him in the third movie. I know, I know, everyone is gonna say, "But Joker is too big of a character to kill off!" But come on people, I mean do you really want some other actor stepping in heath's clown shoes? I just feel that joker is too big of a character to be replaced by someone else

I am a Western Australian, Heath Ledger is the local boy made good. But we can't say that the Joker is too big for any other actor to play. Otherwise we'd be stuck with Joker '89. Before him there was Caesar Romero. It's like me saying that Danny Devito was the only Penguin. In doing so we deny future generations to [FONT=&quot]reinterpret [/FONT]these well worn characters. That is what makes Batman way better than Superman, that constant desire to reinvent and change. Sometimes WB ****s up, other times they score. Here, TDK, all signals are green.

I'm guessing it will end with Batman tied to a conveyor belt that's slowly moving toward a big moving circular saw with guys in black and white striped shirts with the word 'Goon' in bid red letters cheering, whilst the Joker laughs evilly with a voice over saying 'How will our Caped Crusader escape this perilous situation? Will the Joker's evil plan come to ahead, find out all the answer same Bat-time same Bat-channel'.

I think that after Dent is scarred during Maroni's trial, he will be taken to the hospital, where Joker tries to annihilate him by destroying the hospital. Dent is presumed to be dead. The destruction of the hospital will be the "straw that breaks the camels back" causing Gotham to evacuate. This is when Joker rigs the barges, leading to the tense barge scene. Back in the empty streets of Gotham, Joker and Batman face off, leaving him unable to save those on the barges. Sometime during this, Two Face confronts Maroni. Batman and Joker fight on the streets, the tattooed prisoner sacrifices himself and the other prisoners, saving the Gotham elite. Meanwhile, Batman is about to kill Joker but stops, and Joker is taken to prison/Arkham. The movie then ends with the scene with Two Face in the bar.

Not necessarily. Nolan even said he hates that the villians always die in superhero movies. Sure he kind of went along with it with Ra's (maybe) but he did keep Scarecrow and Falcone alive. We already know that

Maybe Joker will die maybe he won't. Personally in a way I want him do, but I don't think he will.

I think harvey will go aound killing mobsters and people will believe it's batman not two face. That's why gordon and the city will turn against him. The barge situation will then happen and batman will capture joker but not kill him. The end will be two face still out there gordon and batman's relationship up in the air and the ast shot will be of the new and improved batcave.
