I know nothing like some stupid "take this guy for example" repeat will happen. Its just stupid to even think they would do that again. Gordon still trusts Batman I think, the smashing of the signal is a PR move I would guess. As to how it ends, not sure. Two Face is obviously revealed by then, but I think it might be something Bats/Gordon/Harvey related.

I believe they had originally planned on The Joker living through the movie, and just being captured. Seeing as how Heath has died, I'd imagine The Joker will as well. Just not sure how.

Filming was complete months before Heath died, so how exactly would they refilm his last scenes even if they wanted to?

I think Batman will have a final confrontation with the Joker only to be saved/thwarted by Two Face, who will disappear into the night taking the Joker hostage for some reason (revenge or whatever)...Then in the third movie, Batman will be forced to bring Harvey to justice, with the Joker's fate/whereabouts unknown to everyone, even Two Face...hopefully, there will be some nod to the Joker in the third one, like Batman discovering a Joker card or something, hinting that he is still alive and out there.

back in '07 (early summer- when I was a lurker) this was the hot rumor around. Both MirandaFox and Anjow said that they had sources which said the film ended with Bruce leaving for a date with "Selina Kyle"... it was never debunked... it was never confirmed.... and is no more than a rumor.

Nolan's using The Joker, Two Face, and he will probably use Catwoman because he's re-inventing Batman mythos, and I think Catwoman is far more important in Batman mythos than Talia or Lady Shiva, nothing against those tho

Nah, I don't think she will make it. Nobody in the public really knows who she is, just look at Batman Begins. People were like how the hell is Raz Al Ghul?

I would think Nolan would bring in Catwoman simply because there's only one main female character right now and rumours point to her not surviving the film. We'll need a female character in the third film for balance, so Catwoman would make sense.

I think it will end in chaos and be left open. Most of the city will be in ruins, the entire city has turned against the hero they once respected. Harvey Dent will be assumed dead, Joker will either be killed, left for dead, or sent to a holding facility until Arkham is rebuilt. Batman will feel that he has failed his city, Wayne Enterprise will be almost going bankrupt and Rachel will be dead. This is exactly what I want.

I think it will end with everyone thinking the Joker is dead. Like maybe he is in something that explodes or something happens and they never find the body. While Batman is considered a bad guy in the eyes of Gotham for whatever happens because the shot of the bat signal being destroyed. Also, Two face will be running free killing mob bosses and corrupt cops. Doing what he thinks is the right thing. Selina Kyle should be brought in at the end too.

like near the end,have the penthouse being broken in to and Bruce finds a clue that it was a woman who broke in and some clue about cats or something. I don't know. Just something that would be interesting and leading up to the third movie.

Well, we knew Catwoman was alive at the end of BR even if Batman wasn't. And it's my understanding that after they found out what a scumbag Penguin was, they forgave Batman. They did afterall throw up the Batsignal at the end of the movie. And just because both movies are dark doesn't mean they are alike. Hell, Batman should be dark.

you can not kill off the joker. heath is not the joker. he is an actor. they replaced jack with heath and they can replace heath. i have nothing against heath it is just you cant kill off the joker.

I think TDK will end with Bruce and Alfred going back to Wayne mansion, like I have said in another topic some time ago.
