The Dark Knight Predictions on how TDK will end

heath died after the movie was finished, so joker could still be alive.

i'd want something after the credits, but i just don't know what. haha. maybe that dick grayson being the only survivor thing. i know no one wants robin, but how about just the adopting dick grayson part? i think it would be pretty cool cliff hanger for the third movie. am i alone here? probably..robin haters all over this site, haha.

You don't have to kill Joker for a third movie. Just make a cameo in a third movie of a bank heist with the goon masks. Then show the grumpy mask doing something Jokerish and it could easily be implied that Joker is back.

You certainly don't have to kill him off, but to include even just a reference to him in a third film would, I think, be clumsy and transparent. If the Joker appears, it has to be in all his glory. But that can't happen after TDK, and a recast is a no-no. Yes, the Joker is Batman's greatest enemy, but the Batman universe is still a goldmine and there are plenty more villains to include should they decide to do a third film - not to mention the fact that Two-Face will be just as important in TDK as the Joker.

And then for the rest of the movie he just dissapears?

EDIT: Exactly, aidan

Joker doesn't always have to be this huge presence in a movie. It could be a really simple thing like when Batman is walking into Arkham and Joker presses his face against the window with his tounge.

While Heath is gone, it still would be nice to see that his creation is still alive in that world through a small reference. A goon with the grumpy mask is perfect because it leaves it open ended if that really was the Joker. He enters with a mystery and he leaves with a mystery.

The Batman universe has many other villains and they should be the star but a cameo from a Joker like creation is not like forcing huge amounts of dialog or having someone act like Heaths Joker.

I predict a very interesting ending to the film. This of course elaborates more on the events leading up the end.

Rachel is working alone and late in the district attorney's office. She is greatly disappointed by the failure of Gotham PD to capture Joker. Her efforts are emotionally concetrated on finding his whereabouts. Her luck turns to her motivations, as a young woman dressed in Joker make-up and disfigured by a scar rushes in with her mouth still bleeding to her office. She turns out to be one of the younger industrial psychologists who works in the same office. She is absolutely distraught and reveals she was kidnapped, raped, and scarred by Joker and his thugs in trying to force her to give information about files of the Batman. Rachel is overwhelmed, but manages to contact others from the police. The young woman gives her the location of the Joker's hideout where she was taken. She has one of the few remaining officers in the building take her to the hospital for treatment and to be thorougly interviewed.

Rachel takes off for the address. Joker has just created the upper hand as "the young victim," is actually Harley Quinn working with several corrupt officers in the DA's office to get Dawes.

Dawes attempts to contact Harvey on his cell phone. It's turned off as Harvey is not one to be rude at a business dinner he's at. There is no response, which makes Rachel want to go to the hideout on her own. She finds the location to be a rundown circus carnival which has not seen business in years. The scene still has the big tent up and the stalls are as they were if the place went out without clearing anything out. She snoops around until she finds several of Joker's thugs installing valves of gas to the big top. She is gagged and taken from behind into the darkness.

Dent ends his dinner and tries to return Rachel's call. There is no answer. He tries again a few more times. Concerned something may have happened, he calls around to see where she is. Among his calls are to Bruce Wayne, who is busy trying to find traces of a gas which Joker releases, and becomes concerned about her as well. He mobilizes as The Dark Knight and takes to the streets of Gotham via Batmobile.

Rachel has been put into a large animal cage and Joker greets her as he is dressed like a ring master claiming to want to make a circus out of Gotham. A live television broadcast begins as Joker has kidnapped several news personel who have been spreading bad news about him. Cameras are set up inside and outside the tent waiting for the GPD.

As things get rolling, filming begins for Joker releasing hyenas rabid with an alternate of the gas he gives them to maul Rachel Dawes.

Chaos can only spread as GPD begins arriving and sees only a darkned, seemingly abandoned circus fairground from the outside. As Rachel is mauled by the hyenas, Joker's laugh begins to echo maniacally throughout the grounds. Dent decides to go into the big top alone to see what could be found. The police officials outside hear the laugh and are caught in a state of terror as it happens. Spotlights turn on and Joker beginst to announce the second act of his show.

Automatic gunners line up and deliver heavy firepower straight into the crowd of police waiting to apprehend him. They have no choice but to take cover.
At this time, Batman arrives this time to disable the guns after a long struggle, and nearly being killed.

Joker has Dent and wants to strew him up by hanging him from the tightrope. He has hime on a platform with a cable around his neck ready to drop him to the central performance area below. Again, this is filmed. Joker first shows the dead Rachel, not only mauled, but now with a carved smile into her face. Dent falls to his knees in the pain and Joker sends him hanging there.

By this time, Batman arrives and rescues Dent just as he drops. Joker has his thugs leave the big top and wants the Dark Knight alone. Dent is unconcious, but fine, they go at it and Batman nearly beats Joker to death in the process.

As he makes his final pleas for life, he released for a brief moment to grasp his breathe before being apprehended. He takes presses a remote control and gas valves release his Joker venom in gasesous form from the big top as it begins to collapse all around them. Joker makes sure to show the mutilated body of Dawes to Batman as well, as the tent falls to the ground. Batman collapses to his knees as Dent did.

Joker laughs manically as the tent drops and the gas is released. GPD are overtaken by the gas have to make a massive retreat. Batman has to retreat as the gas spreads, but not before giving Joker a blow which he thinks will kill him. Batman becomes disoriented, much like he did in exposure to Scarecrow's gas in BB. He gets caught in the falling path of debris from the metal supports for the tent. He breaks several limbs and passes out in an alley away from the circus grounds.

An device in his suit monitoring vital signs sends a signal to Alfred to respond in the emergency. He comes on seen within minutes.

Joker's gas spreads chaos throughout the city, people begin to become insane from the gas and laugh maniacally. The city is overwhelmed and the disaster calls the attention of the National Guard to respond.

In the aftermath, Gotham PD manages to rescue Dent and apprehends Joker. A 24 hour running news broadcast runs of the slaughter of Rachel on live television, and Batman is accused of releasing the gas and is now a wanted criminal. Thousands are hospitalized and hundreds are killed as Batman failed to stop the gas.

Bruce is too injured to leave bed. Dent is injured, but attends the Joker's trial. During eyewitness testimony he is scarred with the smuggled acid and hospitalized.

During the night, he sees his disfigured face and escapes. He become mentally ill and becomes delusional of news broadcasts of Batman releasing the gas and especially murdering Rachel. He escapes the hospital in a mass of delusions and is marked missing.

Bruce becomes severly depressed at the news of Rachel's death and returns to the belief that he was only acting as a vigilanty rather than a hero. The film ends with the bat signal being lit by Gordon. It is then deactivated by GPD as they do not trust Batman. Bruce regrets creating Batman and does not respond to the signal nevertheless.

With credits.

Just...have it...at...the...end ...of...the ...movie....

Like another robbery right at the end. You hear some snickering as the camera starts panning toward the goon mask. It gets closer, closer, closer...

The man behind the goon mask starts to pull it off, as it comes up-

*Roll credits*

One thing I'm quite sure about: we will learn that another character from the Batman-universe is coming... Harley Quinn, Riddler, Catwoman,...

I'll bet the movie ends with Joker dead at the hands of Two-Face.. Two-Face in the nearly built Arkham..

And..

Mike Engel, who's gone mad trying to solve the greatest riddle of all ("who's Batman?" -a riddle that he thought he could solve and determined Batman was Harvey Dent, which resulted in the mob burning off half his face and still not catching Batman)..

Engel's gone completely mad and is missing and it's assumed he's become/becoming THE RIDDLER..

That's my bet.

Ummmmm, no. Nice try, but you fail. :woot:

The film will end leaving it open for a third to complete a trilogy, thats as far as Im going, oh and ya I believe Joker is going to fall from a huge gothic cathedral to his death. lol

joker will die at the end of the next movie, as he did in the first. people are saying that it will be weird seeing the joker die because of what happend to Heath, but i have heard suspitions about what happens at the end but i wont say unless somewon wants to PM me and talk if they really want to know.

There will be also be a giggles bag on laughing repeat mode pulled from his lifeless smiling corpse by the Commish. :cwink:

The Joker sets a grand master plan to give everyone in Gotham herpes but he only manages to give it 2 Harvey. It then starts to get infected taking over half his face causing him to go mad and turning him to the evil TwoFace!! :wow:

ew that kinda grossed me out.

Batman and Gordon are on the rooftop of GCPD,

Gordon: "He's still out there, we dont have any leads. Who would have thought that he'd become our enemy?"

Batman: "Dont worry about him, we'll find him. He's one of us deep down. Any news on the joker?"

Gordon looks at him mournfully, "All we found was a joker card at the scene. Nothing else has been recovered... yet"

Batman goes to take off, but it stopped by Gordon

Gordon: "I meant to tell you, we received a package this morning, a letter... well i'll let you read it" (Hands Batman the letter. We see its typed on a green sheet of paper)

Batman looks over it, "Its a riddle. I'll look into it"

Batman goes to take off again, but Gordon clears his throat

Gordon: "One last thing. We got a phone call from one of Gothams sister citys, Bludhaven. Apparently their local heroes, no pun intended, the flying Graysons are coming to Gotham with Haly's circus. Haly reportedly is owe a mobster money, what was his name... Tony Zucco I think it was. Just thot i'd give you a heads up incase you find something out"

Batman nods

Gordon: "I still feel like it should say it"

Batman: "You're welcome"

Batman finally takes off into the night, and the credits roll....

Btw, thanks and credit to elgato for suggesting those last 2 spoken lines.

Feel's like its trying to fit too much in, too forced, and feels like a rehash of Batman Begins. Not to mention the last 2 spoken lines are a tad cheesy.

In a fit of detective work batman will figure out that if you hold a magnifying glass to the sun it burns, and uses that knowledge to hold a magnifying glass to jokers crotch until he gives up his life of crime.

One thing I don't understand is that people say there are just two ways for the Joker: Joker survives and will come back in the third movie, maybe in a cameo, OR Joker dies. What about this? Joker survives and will not come back in the third film.
After Heath's death this is what will happen IMHO. And I hope so because Joker dying would spoil the whole movie for me. I hated it in B89 and I would hate it in TDK.

Yeh, good point :P

Brother, you just said a mouthful. I totally agree with you on that one. Thats the reason I LOATHE all the other Batman flicks from years ago. It was like a Friday the 13th movie and the villains were the campers. They got offed every single f***ing movie. :cmad:

ya something like that. It is like the card, you know joker is still out there

Seriously. They can slip a quick Joker scene at the end of the 3rd one w/o recasting the role. Also, think about how cool itd be. Batman "wins", gets the girl, the whole 9 and all that other good guy bulls**t, but right at the end they imply that his #1 arch nemesis, the Joker, is still out there... plotting his triumphant return.

Come to think of it, I REALLY REALLY hope they do that at the end of this franchise of movies. It be the perfect ending to the best series of Batman movies, to let him still win but hint that the Joker will come back again one day, after biding his time and consolidating his power, to wreak havoc once again. :hehe: And maybe next time, the Joker might win.

I will re-state what I think should happen. I said this when Heath's tragedy first took place.

I want no re-casting, which I have a gut feeling Nolan will not do anyways. Though Joker is my fav villain, give him TDK, then give BB3 to Two-Face who also is a wonderful villain.

The way I see it, if Bats puts Two-Face in Arkham at the end of BB3, this is how it should go.

Shows Two-Face in his cell, then all of a sudden klaxon's and alarms began to sound off. The camera goes down the hall, following guards. They see two dead guards with smiles cut on their faces. The Guards run to the outside, and we just see the back of the Joker running into the streets laughing hysterically. Then lastly something falls behind him, and it is a Joker card.

To me that would be the perfect ending. Showing Bats job is never done. The Joker will always be out there, and just a wink towards Heath as well.

This of course if Joker is arrested at the end of TDK.
