Premiere

Mark, congratulations on finishing the movie. I can't wait to see the result. You and everyone else who worked so hard on the film for the last 2 or 3 years have definitely earned the right to kick back and enjoy the fruits of your labour.

And Flamehead, Biggun and MarvelMovies, you lucky buggers you, have a great time at the premiere. Take lots of photos for the rest of us. Given your dedication and MSJ's respect for us fans, I'm really not surprised you received invites.

Give Eva a kiss from me, willya?

:cwink:

Ya know....Wonder if Mark will have a fan section on the DVD like LotR did? :D Even if our screen names I'd be happy! lol

MSJ, that is incredibly generous of you inviting three people here! I am glad to hear the movie is complete and I am ready to go to a midnight showing!!! Just waiting on the damn tickets to go on sale, LOL!

Okay, I just woke up from my coma.

You have no idea how I feel right now folks.

I do. :woot: One reason I haven't been around on this forum for months is I've been busy going from fan support to full-blown alpha tester on a computer game and then the developers went and named a background filler character (an extra really) after me! I think I can be safe in saying I know exactly how you feel. :woot:

Grats man. You've earned it.

As for me I've pulled my head out of the game for five seconds long enough to check up on the Ghost Rider progress and I seem to be getting 'geekgasm' material coming in my direction thick and fast now. Last night I saw a trailer memo telling me that something called "Rise of the Silver Surfer" had be hardlocked on Epic Movie, which itself had to be screen tested before public release. For someone who collected Silver Surfer from issue #1 back in the day to be totally out of the loop on the Fantastic Four sequel and get the full-blown 'crawling out from under the rock' update appearing on the big screen in front of me was awesome!

Then tonight, the manager goes, "By the way we have the Ghost Rider posters now."
"Oh yes?"
"And I think there's one left upstairs if you rummage for it." :cwink:
"..." :wow: "..." :woot:

Ok, so I was little on the young side when Johnny graced the shelves and my experience of that era came in reprints in later years, but then Dan Ketch was another purchase experiment from issue #1 that unlike the Surfer quickly became my all time favourite title. It's been a real trip coming here and reading the updates from time to time, posting occasionally, and now reading about the project completion is giving me the shivers.

Good job MSJ. I've been waiting a looong time for this. :D Tell Sony to send down some decent 35mm prints to New Zealand and let them know there's someone down here who'll be presenting one of them the best way he can, every show! :woot:

Well done MarvelMovies, BIGGUN and FlameHead. I know all about the effort involved when putting your heart and soul into something voluntarily without thought of payment and to get the recognition of those efforts is a real blast. Job well done people. Your community support gets a standing ovation from me (for what it's worth) and frankly I think you guys deserve it. Take a bow and enjoy the movie when it comes.

Now the wait...

Well done on finishing the movie and congratulations to those who were invited.

I look forward to seeing it in France or Switzerland when it comes out.

Congratulations MSJ for finishing the movie. I'm looking forward to it and I've been looking forward to it for a year now. I really can't wait to see it, so far everything I've seen looks awesome. Congratulations also to The Three that were invited. Can't wait to hear what you guys have to say after you've been there.

All joking aside....Simply awesome!!!! Im so happy for you guys. Do us SHH members proud brothers!!!!!!

Mark,

Congratulations with finishing the movie!

@ FlameHead, BIGGUN and MarvelMovies:

Congratulations for you 3!!! Make lots of pics and some video?!!!

Idea for a ghostriderblog:

Mark with Flamehead, BIGGUN and MarvelMovies @ the premiere!!

It's almost end of january, but i want the end of february so I can finally see Ghost Rider!!!

And a question to Mark:

Now that the movie is finished: What is the exact time of it? I hope more than 2 hours.

Greetings

Steve from Belgium!!!

asked that to Mark via a pm...he said it should be no prob. afterall there will be the press outside/inside the theater interviewing everyone so i cant really see anyone having a problem...unless its during the movie.
i dont know how they are going to work that flying in business...do we come in right before it starts or do we have enough time to stay the night in a hotel? what about transportation? would suck if all 3 of us get lost in NY right when the movie starts...lol
all i know is i gotta try me some authentic NY pizza.

I'm sure we'll be on a pretty tight schedule with most things taken care of for us. That's the impression I get from talkin' with Mark via PM. Fly in, watch movie, sleep, fly out, kinda thing.

If I get lost in New York city (coming from Newfoundland, Canada mind you), it's just as well I lay down and take a nap until somebody finds me....

Mmmm... Pizza....

Mark, BIG congrats on finishing the movie, I can't tell ya how much I'm lookin' forward to this, I've looked at every update and trailer, and this flick is gonna kick some much ASS!!! The Rider will live come Feb.

And congrats to FH, BG, and MM, you lucky *****! :cmad::up:

*gets on knees and prays for a GH2 and DD2*

Awesome! Congrats FH, MM and BG. Bring me back Eva Mendes, please.:up:

Woah! I never even thought about that, but that is a very cool idea for the blog.

Hopefully that happens!

Is GR gonna be on IMAX regular or 3d??? I never heard anything on that. Imagine how the GR would look coming out of the Wallow in 3d Imax. Or that scene where he jumps off the building spinning his whip. That would induce Vertigo.

Indeed it would.

But I also haven't heard anything about it being in IMAX..so sadly, I think its just in regular theaters. :csad:

But it's still going to look amazing!!

Thats so awesome of MSJ to do that!Congrats guys you really deserve it - Ghost Rider fans through thick and thin.:ghost: :)

Oh and i'm thrilled to hear that the movie is ready so far ahead of release. Can't wait to see it.:word:

Fantastic indeed! I wonder if it's front page worthy? The news of the movie being complete, at the very least, is....

EDIT: I just sent them a heads up about this and about the other note that MSJ left the other day in the TV spots thread about the promo campaign.

Congrats to you three, that's really great news.

It's cool to see a director who cares so much about his fans and is willing to go that extra mile for them. You're a stand-up guy, MSJ

Especially glad to hear his comments about the TV spots, I was less than enthused by them. I have faith now that they don't represent the movie as a whole.

Okay, so I can finally be as excited as you all expect me to be. Let me tell you about the past couple of days that I just had, if you have the time to listen.

MSJ PM's me a couple of days ago and gives me the incredible news. Of course, I **** myself for a while and quickly realize that I'm going to the US... which means I may need a passport. I mean, I've never been out of Canada before and never really thought I would be anytime soon. So, I start to panic thinking that getting such things would take forever and I would miss this incredible opportunity.

But wait, it gets worse. As soon as I remembered the passport, I went to the Passports Canada website and what do I see right away; an alert stating that a new requirement (from the States) has been passed saying that all Canadian Citizens must carry a passport when going to the US. Funny thing is, the new law was instated THAT DAY. The very same day that MSJ told me about the trip. My luck wha? Then they're saying (on the website) that there is a backlog of applications due to the overwhelming demand for them, with this new law. Of course, at this point, I'm really freakin' out.

Anyhoo, I kinda pushed it out of my mind and gathered everything that I needed for the application and had planned on being back to the offices yesterday... BUT (again, my luck) we had a massive snow storm which shut down the city. Nothing was open....

So, I'm about to cry at this point, thinking that a one day difference could very well be the difference in me having the passport on time and not having it. I barely slept last night in anticipation of today and when I got up this morning, I got ready, went down to the offices and proceeded to submit my application. To my surprise, the new law really didn't do much here and the backlog isn't as bad as the media was making out to be (not in Newfoundland anyway). Within an hour, I had the thing submitted and a guarantee that I'll have it proceeded in due time; well before the 15th!

So, I can finally be excited! Now, if you'll excuse me for a second, I have to go change my pants again....

Congratulations, guys.

Even more proof (if we even needed it) that MSJ is one kick-arse director and individual.

FlameHead (aswell BIGGUN and MarvelMovies)

I really hope that there aren't going to be any problems to make the flight because of passports and such things.

The premiere day must be a day to remember (in POSITIVE way of course)

So, have a nice trip to the USA!!!

We all gonna be very curious how it was. Hope you see Nicolas, Eva, Sam, Peter and last but not least: The one and only Mark Steven Johnson!!!

And: Try to sleep FlameHead + buy some more pants, they can be very usefull!!!! :)

Steve
