FH that sucks, Vartha's right looks like BG had the best luck out of the 3 of you.
But you still got to meet everyone. MSJ GSF Nic Eva & all the rest of the cast . I would've flown from Oz just to meet all of them.
But it sucks how much did you miss the movie by?

Damn FH...I feel bad for ya.. AD and i were freaking out that we were going to miss the movie at Sony because of the traffic(took us 2 1/2 hours for what should have been a 45min drive). We were soo frazzled that it took us a while to get back into movie mode.... Glad to see your safe at home nowt: . So did you have a good time???

I'm back as well. Not long home from seeing the movie... for the first time.

Am I rotted (not about the movie, about the trip)? Yeah, kinda but, it was still an amazing time...

Glad our 3 Amigos got back safe and sound.

Bad, bad news about missing the film, Flame. Nothing worse than crappy luck or someone else's screwup ruining your plans. I'd have gone absolutely bananas. Did the airline even apologise or explain the delay?

I missed my original flight, had to go on stand-by for several hours, eventually made it back home, before going out eat and playing pool.

I'll post a write up tomorrow morning.

It was definitely fun and I'll have a detailed post about it done soon. Unfortunately though, I'm back in the real world and now have to go to work. I'll fill you all in soon....

Im back...and man im tired!
flight was 2 hours late yesterday and i managed to get to hotel at 6....just a few minutes to get signed in and change for the movie.
Met up w/ MarvelMovies (cool kid but has some of the suckiest luck w/ luggage!t: ) and we both caught a taxi to the show. managed to get inside w/ no probs and found our seats fairly easily. bad thing is we had to sit in the 2nd row of theater. wasnt the best veiw but hey im not complaining.....too much! heh
MSJ did a short presentation at the start and it was cool and surreal to see Nic Cage, Eva Mendes and Peter Fonda sitting in the same movie theater w/ us watching the film.
Movie was just fun to watch...expected a monster movie and thats what i got. it wasnt perfect but i never expected it to be perfect...just to be faithfull to the heart and spirit of the comic. very happy w/ the end result
Amy (from Sony) was very sweet and EXTREMELY helpful. she helped MM and I get set up to go to the after party as well as meet the stars and producers.
Met up w/ Flamehead at the party too....sadly his flight was cancelled and had to miss the movie. It was a trip to finally meet the guy in person...really nice dude. Amy then started to get us to "make the rounds" in meeting everyone. They were all very cool to us...met Nic, Eva, Wes, Mark (again!), Gary Foster, as well Avi and Ari Arad. Avi actually remembered the letter that i sent him back in 94 and mentioned that his lawyers actually told him not to answer it!
after meeting everyone we stayed until about 1 maybe? left to go pick up a friend of MarvelMovie's and then went back to the hotel. after that we went next door to a 24hr diner called "flame" and had some pretty good diner food. we called it a night about 3am, said our goodbyes and hit the sack. only slept for about 4 hours so i could eat and get ready to leave. flight back was pretty easy....no probs.
the hotel was nice...but small rooms!
overall i had a great great time. New York is fun too...just go when there isnt a lot of snow!

Egads and Gasp!!! I had a hard time getting past the part where FH missed the movie.


I'm so very glad he made it to the after party.

Sounds like a blast BIGGUN. That's super awesome that Arad remembered you.

It seems that MSJ can't get away from the Blizzard curse. Didn't it blizzard during Daredevil also? It's snowing really bad right now where I live. I think this weekend box office is going to be shallow for all the movies because of it here in the Midwest.
