Hilarious pics in the link. Didn't see those here yet got lost up in the thread I guess.

Oh yeah I saw those.

Everybody looked great.
I just wish I could see the shoes. :never satisfied: :p

Congrat's to the guys who got the chance to meet MSJ and the cast. That's really great! I didn't even know about it until I read this thread today.

I have a feeling the box office success of Ghost Rider is going to greenlight a sequel, and I hope the guys make a trip back to Australia for a second coming. I wanna meet 'em!

With a sequel they have a chance to refine what they made with Ghost Rider. My only main problem with it was the dialogue. Other than that it was good fun. Blackheart scared the s##t out of my mother with that 'screamer' moment. Funny as!

:ghost:

Hey guys,
I wanted to chime in after this amazing weekend. Even in my wildest dreams we didn't have this much success. Woo hoo!

It was a pleasure meeting the guys at the premier. I am so glad the storm didn't screw it up and that you were able to be a part of our celebration.
Let's hope we get to do it again for GR 2!!!!????

Keep up the support and we'll be in touch.

Gary

Congratulations, Gary.

You'll always find support here.

:yay:

I think it was a Fun film Gary, can't wait for GR2!

No worries about that Gary. Support from the faithful will always be there... so you better bring us a sequel. :woot:

Congrats on an incredibly strong opening. It's amazing to see, though some of us already knew it was going to be a sleeper hit. I didn't really expect this much of a hit though. I can't wait to see how it turns out over the next couple of weeks.

Be well Gary. Thanks for stoppin' by.

Hey guys, I just found out that the news about my trip to NY made it into a couple of other Canadian Newspapers. Figured you'd be interested to know...

First is this one from the Globe And Mail (which I find REALLY funny)
http://www.theglobeandmail.com/servlet/story/LAC.20070217.LACEY17/TPStory/TPEntertainment/Movies/

Is it global warming or the fires of Hell?

Stephen Eli Harris, a Newfoundland Green Party candidate in the last federal election, is such a fan of the Ghost Rider comic books that he was invited to this week's New York premiere of the movie starring Nicolas Cage. Cage plays Johnny Blaze (Ghost Rider). The stunt motorcycle rider has sold his soul to Mephistopheles (Peter Fonda) and now serves as an infernal bounty hunter whose skull ignites and whose motorcycle lights up in flames.

Harris, a 28-year-old actor and telemarketer, has posted about 15,000 messages on superherohype.com, where he befriended Ghost Rider writer-director Mark Steven Johnson.

Now, before some self-righteous critic argues that an environmentalist has no business supporting a superhero who wears leather and poisons the atmosphere with his burning head and flaming motorcycle exhaust, let's put things in theological perspective. Think of those fires of hell as the ultimate renewable energy source.

The others are pretty much rehashing of The Telegram article posted earlier.

This one that was posted in the Calgary Herald.

And there's one in the Guelph Mercury but, it's for subsribers only so I don't really know what it fully says.

heh...still making the headlines huh FH?
very cool...hope you get some gigs as a result of all that free press.
800 GR comics? Wha? that Calgary Herald edition must have been a misprint...or i REALLY have been slacking on picking up GR issues.

Yeah, that was a misprint from the original article actually. I guess they didn't quite understand my collection... not being comic people... or just simplified or something.

Man, I can't believe this was almost a week ago...

Incredible events have a habit of burning into your mind and defying time. I betcha you can remember everything vividly even in 10 or 20 years time.

Did you keep any passes or stuff you might have been given?

:yay:

I definitely would have but... I didn't make it to the premiere so I missed out on that awesome pass the guys got.

By the way, BG and MM do either of you have a Scan of the pass?

hope between the 2 of them they have a whole pass if they rip em at the door. :D

Yeah, that was a misprint from the original article actually. I guess they didn't quite understand my collection... not being comic people... or just simplified or something.

I was thinking that you must have 4 copies of every Ghostrider issue and appearence he's in LOL. If you had 4 copies of them you'd have one set in perfect condition, one set on wall display, one set for reading, and one set to let others read lol.

Yup, you're too witty for me... I'm off to lick my wounds...
