I just can't understand this mentality of "I'll buy a console now and then basically not use it till the good games come out in six months

Why not just wait and buy the system WHEN it has some games worth playing?

I used it all the time the first month. I went to the library and was renting games. I use it as a media server to stream content off my PC to my HDTV, and I use it to watch BR movies as well as DVDs. I DO use my PS3, but I just havent used it in the past week bc Ive been way to busy with other stuff and there isnt alot of games out there for me to buy that I havent already played or own on my PC.

I just want to clarify that I was planning on getting a PS3 in Oct just in time for Heavenly Sword, GTA4, Assasins Creed and Uncharted. The only reason I got it early was bc of the price drop and Amazon deal for a free BR movie, a remote control and the 5 free BR movies. That was a great deal that I had to jump on. Plus I was planning on buying an HDTV and needed something to help justify that and the PS3 has done great as far as thats concerned. Right now I only own 1 title, Virtua Fighter. I wasnt planning on getting it but found it for $25 and loving it. if I have time later, I think I'll play a few rounds of that. Plus I have tons of PS2 titles, that I have yet to complete and Ive been catching up on that. Finally beat RE CV last week and I still need to get through Bully, Yakuza, and start up DMC3. Dont worry the system is being put to use
