A few weeks ago I was playing my PS3.

The next day I went to turn it on, the nice little blue light came on the console...yet the screen stayed black.

There was no sound and my TV indicated it was receiving no video feed.

So I changed it's input from HDMI 2 and to HDMI 3 in the back of my TV. Nothing.

So I removed my DirectTV input from HDMI 1 and plugged in my PS3. Nothing.

So I tried to connect the TV with the non-HD cords. Nothing.

The PS3 wasn't moved between successful playing and this hibernation. It wasn't hit with a ball, I didn't surround it with magnets, nor pelt it with water balloons. The system itself seems, all together fine.

Any ideas?

maybe it was overheated, do you have enough space around the PS3 to let it breathe?

Try a reset. Hold the power button for more than 5 seconds when you turn it on. This resets the video output back to factory. You should hear two beeps when done properly.
