Punching Bag Confusion

Yeah...well I hate to make a useless thread...You can let this die...but id sure love an answer...Im getting a punching bag for christmas...and I have no clue about weight ive seen 40 lbs 60 lbs 70 lbs 80 lbs 100 lbs and so on....What is best for a guy? and whats he difference between having a heavier or lighter bag?
