question about mario kart double dash on wii

so, with the nintendo gamecube version of mario kart, you can connect two cubes togeather to play 8 player games. now here is the question, since Wii will be a far better online game system then cube was. will you still be able to play mario kart double dash online, possible making it more popular on the wii then on the cube.

dont believe me that you can play mario kart DD online, look on the back of the game, youll see the broadband logo next to the controllers n what not.

we didnt get any formal info on the wii yet. i know more then anyone in that store and thats creepy. haha. i knwo you can play it threw www.warppipe.com, but im curious how it will handle on the wii.
