For the ones that hated/didnt like the movie/disappointed..my question is this..are you still buying the dvd when it comes out? if so..why? i'd like to see some discussion on this matter.. :super:

No , because i have a feeling that they'll come with a better dvd soon.
Lots more extras and stuff.
Warner did it with the matrix movies and i know they'll do it again with this one.

No, even tho I do love Superman, but SR was bad and will not pay a penny again towards it. But I will be geting the Donner cut of SII,

same here for me SR= BATMAN FOREVER

Nope. Just the Chris Reeve Collection and the SII: Donner Cut. If there's a re-cut sometime in the future, which I doubt, I might consider it depending on what scenes will be included.

I was disappointed with the story (and the plot holes) and the amount of time big blue had on screen. But overall I enjoyed it. Yes, I'll be getting it because I love superhero movies and enjoyed the film as a whole.

^I think he meant any version of the DVD

Nope , not true actually.
Despite being disappointed with Sr , i'd still buy the dvd but more because of the extras ( read VFX) then the movie itself.
I love that kind of stuff, to see how they work with the CGI . Extras do matter to me , when i'm buying a dvd.

But i'm getting the matrix reloaded vibe all over again. Movie not meeting expectations , very pricy dvd that's ultimately not what you wanted in terms of extras and then after a year or so they come up with a better dvd with more extras.
Heck anyone who has bought the matrix ultimate collection will know just how much extras they have on that disc. Long documentaries they really explore the stuff.

No, will not be buying it - until it hits the $8.88 shelf at Walmart.

Heck, I got a Pie-Rat version but can't even bring myself to watch that either.

Ok great, but that wasnt my point at all lol

Oohhh , you mean like would i ever buy a dvd from SR :o
Yes , yes i would actually :oldrazz:
As long as they have tons and tons of extras , i'm in :woot:

I'm definitely getting the donner cut of Superman II.

SR dvd? Nope. I just don't usually buy any first dvd because I know they'll double tripple super deluxe dip later and I'm really not interested in this cut of the movie enough to want to see it again. If they release an extended version with all the cut stuff back in and some of the bad parts cut out, I'll consider it.

Nope but I might rent it for the extras disk.

I would have if I could have seen the extra Krypton footage, but now that its pretty much not going to happen (unless Singer pulls a Lucas) I really have no reason to buy the dvd. However, much like everyone else, I'm extremely psyched about the SII Donner Cut.

What is funny is that Baman Forever was more enjoyable, even with the stupid stuff, and it was the biggest money maker of the year. Most people I talked to after seeing it said "It had some dumb stuff, but it was fun as hell to watch and they had some key Batman stuff I have been waiting for in the films for a while."

^ So that means SR is lower than BF??? You maybe right. SR wasn't entertaining it at all.

BF had people going back to see it multiple times. I know I saw it 5 times while it was in the theater. I knew it wasn't a great movie, but it was closer to Batman than Burton's films were, and it was at least fun to watch.

Batman and robin on the other hand...yuck. I had to force myslelf to sit through it on opening day. And I know most of the people in the theater wanted to leace at some point too. I saw a few walkouts. And at the end credits when people got up, I remember people saying "that was terrible."

Yep BF was more entertaining than SR but I didn't like when Robin came in though it has to do with something about Chris O Donnel, he doesn't scream Robin to me.

I'm with DACMAN on this.

Nope, not getting it. Why spend my money on a film that I don't like when I can invest it buying other more interesting movies...?

Nope, 'cause guaranteed, I'll end up getting it as a gift for X-mas from a (clueless) friend or co-worker. :whatever:

LOL
