Sorry I'm terribly behind, so I'll make this quick - are the All-Star stories the official continuity now?

I think each All Star book has a continuity of it's own.

not only will each title be in it's own continuity, each arc (well, each run of each creative team really) will be in it's own sepearte continuity. Essentially, it's a way to tell stories about these characters without having ANY continuity restraints at all. They can do like Superman is doing, saying "well, all the Silver Age stuff is in continuity, and it's been going on since it ended too" or you can do like Batman is doing with "nothing is in continuity except Year One." Or you can have it some other totally different way. It's a nice expirement.

No and if you're asking because of all whining from Marvel fans that Ultimate continuity was going to replace the regular one then you should know that All Star is nothing like Ultimate Marvel. If it was, it'd probably take All Star Batman more than a couple of years to tell the 'Hush' story arc.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!:csad::cmad:

Don't get your panties in a bunch, GreatlyAgitatedHero.:rolleyes: It was just mindless speculation, ranting and whining from some Marvel fans.:dry:

Here's a question: What creative team would you like to see up next for All-Star Superman (or Batman, if they ever finish)?

I know there's no way in hell it'd ever happen, BUT I'd like to see Alan Moore on Superman. As far as art, I'll pull one out of left field - Bernie Wrightson.

Batman, Neal Adams or Mignola on art chores and Matt Wagner or Garth Ennis for scripts.

Those're just my picks.

STUPID Marvel fans, to be exact. Quesada has stated several times that not only will the Ultimate continuity ever replace the 616, they aren't even in the same multi-verse.

Saying that "Quesada said" doesn't inspire confidence in me. This came about when they were working up the supposed 616/Ult. crossover which turned out to be with zombie-verse instead. Many of us mentioned that the idea was ridiculous, not because of what any exec would say, but because Marvel could in this case have it's cake and eat it too. They have Ultimate for new readers and regular Marvel for the "old school" fans. Why should they give either one up when they have both cash cows?

The 616/Ultimate crossover was never designed to actually cross the universes over. They said it was, of course, but it was always meant as a bait and switch, and it was done expertly.

Thanks. I asked only because I'm very much behind on my DC readings.

I think DC took an unusual yet interesting approach to the All Star books. And so far, I don't think the idea of that has worked too well.
