Cant wait till tomorrow

I liked Rocky Balboa a lot, it had its flaws but i think it left Rocky sailing into the sunset with a reasonably good sequel and on a high note.

I hope Rambo can do the same.

but I am totally rooting for this film... I hope this breaks 100 mill although I doubt it, but its overseas grows should be killer along with great DVD sales

The film currently has 23% on Rotten Tomatoes. Oh god yes! This means it's definitely the mindless action film I had hoped it would be. Nothing wrong with dramatic movies with lots of depth and character development, but this really isn't the place... Long live Rambo!

can't believe how badly this is getting trashed!!!! sad

C'mon, I remember initial reviews looked down on Rocky Balboa too. This movie, if it indeed delivers, is critic proof. The people who diss it because it's "barbaric" quite simply, dont get it.

I'm not suprised at all. it should be expected.

Let's face it Rambo 2 and 3 did not open up to rave reviews either but, at least with Rambo 2, it grew into a classic. I'm gonna see this regardless.

Man, I hope this movie is good...I have high expectations.

LOL...one of the complaints by critics "way too violent"

I love it...I can't wait to see this movie now. :) Usually I like the total opposite of what they do.

It's not going to be a mindless action film, and it'll have character development.

just came back from seeing this flick from the 12am showing. short and simple if you love Rambo, then you are going to love the movie. It was great the action was surreal. I am surprised this movie made the "R" rating. The storyline was basic but straight to the point. But damn I action flicks of late have been crap. All I have to say is thank you sly

Nice! I'm looking forward to it. There's finally a movie that's worth watching in theaters.

I just got back from the Rambo Marathon at my theatre. It was surreal watching all four films back to back. What a great crowd, all the die-hards and everyone loving each and every film. I've never enjoyed Rambo III more than tonight.

As for Rambo... Sweet Jesus. It is literally the most horrifically gory/brutal action flick I have ever seen. Stunning in the sheer number of atrocities shown, and almost a numbing experience. The pomp and flash of Parts 2 and 3 is gone, and instead we get a gritty, visceral experience that is almost brilliant in the sheer insanity of it. I loved it for that very reason. Stallone didn't go half way here. He has made a film that is going to be HATED by many people who simply can't handle what he shows. However, he delivers exactly what he has promised and it is a terrific experience.

It really, in a sense, immerses the viewer into the type of horrors that have shaped Rambo, so that we can feel his faithlessness in humanity and numbness. There will be many action movies more prominently released this year, but none will have the staggering impact that Rambo does. Jesus. It makes Saving Private Ryan seem like Surf's Up.

What about crowd reports?.Are the theaters packed?.I want this movie to do well !:woot:

Nice. I wanted to catch a midnight showing last night , but I got to work today. Good to hear consistent positive reviews.

Well said. That is excatly how i felt watching this flick. Now back to bed.

The score is already up online (see the link a few pages back), and is probably already for sale.

I love, LOVE negative reviews that trash my taste because I like violent movies (like referring to "those who loved those idiot action movies from the 80's"). Just reinforces that sometimes critical reviews are useless, and they are wussified film snobs.

BTW, Havn't seen this posted yet, it's kinda funny that it's a selling point...

It took 41 minutes for someone to get killed in Rambo III?!?!? But you gotta love how it only takes 3 before someone is killed in the new film!!
