For those of you that don't know a couple of black friday sites are listing Target as having the Expendables blu ray/dvd combo pack for 13 bucks starting tommorow. If this is true that is a GREAT deal for this movie. I am planning on checking it out tommrow.

If it's 13 I'll go for it.

I just checked Targets website the regular single disc dvd is listed as 13 bucks and the Blu ray/dvd combo pack is listed as 24.99. But on Tgi Black friday. com the Blu ray/ DVD combo pack as 13 bucks. I don't know we will see. Maybe it will be on sale Friday.

Picking up the Blu Ray combo today and will probably get suckered into buying the Director's Cut when it is available. I usually end up getting both if it's a movie I really enjoy.

Hope my stores gets it in asap... this is one of my fav films of the year! :)

Just picked up my copy. Can't wait for this looong workday to wrap up so I can get out of here and watch Stalone and the boys again. Really looking toward to the audio commentary and a couple of the special feature docs, too.

Just saw the DVD this past weekend, and although the movie is action-packed and it looks like the cast had alot of fun with it, there was barely any tension in the action scenes so I don't really like it too much in the end. The movie is just okay, but not great. However, the Expendables will get a sequel, while A-Team will not. That to me is disappointing.

Completely agree. I had more fun with A-team, but Expendables was made for a lot cheaper, so I guess that's why it's getting a sequel.

I wanted to like Expendables more but it really seemed more like a Stallone/Statham movie instead of a whole team.

REALLY!?

A-Team kinda fell short of my expectations in terms of story and plot

Expendables is def the better choice.

I prefer The A Team as well, neither were massive on story but The A Team's was slightly better all round IMO and I thought it was better written with better action.

I would say Expendables is my fav, followed by Losers, and then A-Team.

None of them are all that bad... havent seen Red

I'd go with A-Team, Expendables, Red, Losers. None are bad at all. Surprisingly all of them are really entertaining and fun to watch which is all you can ask for from an action movie.

Losers is the most "fun" for me... I like the cast. I think it got stained from getting released too close to A-Team, so it seems like another senseless summer action movie...

Expendables is more raw and gritty I guess...

I think a combination of the two as well as Red would make for the perfect film. Imagine Stallone and the boys in the parachuting tank? :woot:

Yeah Losers and A-Team are very close to the same type of action movie. They are the more comedic action. While The Expendables is more of the realistic feeling action movie. All are great action movies.

Yea part of the charm of the expendables is the realistic 80s action smackdown. Although for the sequel, I hope they go for something bigger, if not it will become too dull

The end of Expendables went a little too long for me. I get it was supposed to be over the top, but the fight scene in the hallway at the end went on for so long it almost seemed comedic. I though A-team was a tighter story, and made better use of all the characters. Two of the Expendables disappeared for most of the movie, and Gunner's character just didn't make sense to me. He was crazy, almost got them all killed, but they take him back?

Expendables has heart. A-Team is just ok, what quirky joke can we jam in next...

Well they took Gunner back because they're a brotherhood and even if one screws up you still accept him for what he is.

Gunner is Dolph Lundgren right?

That shot where he's on the floor whispering into Stalone's ear and the camera pans out is my fav moment in the entire film :)

With the character being Scaninavian and all, woudln't it be 'Gunnar' as opposed to 'Gunner'. Of course, it's totally plausable that he's called 'Gunner' because of his weapon of choice or something but still.......

picked it up today, can't wait to kick back tonight and relive the greatness :D
