What would you guys change about my current pull list. Must be the same amount of titles. some may not be changed

New avengers
Cable and Deadpool( stays on the list)
Ultimates
Astonishing X-men
Ghost Rider
Wolverine
House of m

Okay, I'll tell you everything you need to read....

You ready?

Do you like what you're reading right now?

Then keep reading it.
You don't like what you're reading?

Then stop reading it.

Seriously, there are some recommendation threads around here, one started by a Elijya, that if I weren't so lazy, I'd post the link. Go check it out. Not everything will be for you, but I'm sure you'll find something you like.

Oh, and Buy Marvel Team-Up. Drop Cable and Deadpool (see what happens when you put other people in charge of what you get.)

I wasn't putting other people in charge of what I get, I'm not changing a thing one my list. I was just wondering what people would change, thats all

I know. I could tell as soon as you started telling me to drop cable and deadpool for marvel team up. That was funny

Tasky, I'd drop Ghost Rider and start reading JLA. Really was excited about Ghost Rider, got issue one and hated it.
Drop New Avengers because they aren't even really the avengers, just a bunch of wannabe's, pick up Iron-Man or maybe even one or two of the spider-books.
Assuming you don't wanna go with backissues from other companies. If you do like them, then definelty need to get your hands on the most recent FLASH tpb's, the old JLA's, plus Aquaman has some really cool stuff from time to time.

plus all the old issues of DeadPool, they were hilarious.

I agree with Iloveclones, if you like it keep it, if you don't, drop it. I happen to like Cable/Deadpool mainly because Deadpool makes me laugh and too many of the other books are so serious. I like the Pulse and all of the Ultimate books, especially the Ultimates. I like Exiles, too, though the older issues were a little better. There's a lot of good books out there. I heard Runaways was good but I don't read it. How many books you get may be driven by how much money you have to spend. I've had to cut back a little now that it costs me thirty frikkin' bucks to fill my gas tank. You may want to explore, but don't go nuts.

30$ wow, i wish it was that cheap....

Seeing that House of M is a miniseries and it'll be ending in just two issues, I'd replace that bad boy with some Spider-Man titles. Get "The Other" storyline. That would mean you would have to get Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, Marvel Knights Spidey, and Amazing Spidey. :o

Though I'd be fine with that pull list as I get most of those books already, taskmaster. The only title I don't collect is Cable/Deadpool. So, I would replace that with eithe Runaways or Batman.

you best start getting cable and deadpool.

The Other does look good. I'm going to cheese out and get the TPB because the only book I was getting was MK Spiderman and that crossed over all over.

Oh, and that thirty bucks? One third of a tank of gas actually! One third! (Stupid friggin' oil companies cutting into my comic budget...!)

Old issues of Deadpool are a must. I still laugh out loud when I read them. Deadpool rocks.

I have absolutely no interest in either of those characters. Hence, why I don't get Cable/Deadpool.

Deadpool is not for everyone, I could see how someone might find him too obnoxious. But me, I like him!

I haven't seen this thread in a while and thought it might be a good place to share this:

A week or so ago, I was paging through an old Wizard. I don't buy them, but I think my LCBS was giving them away with the cover torn off. And I'll take almost anything for free. Anyway, I forgot about it, and was bored at work (shhhhh), and read some of the articles that I skipped over. There was an article for a comic that was so stupidly weird, I knew that I was going to buy it. It seriously sounded like the stupidest/greatest idea I ever heard of. The premise was that they were going to take the General Mills Monsters (Frankenberry, Count Chocula, Boo Berry) and twist them into this perverted, violent comic. (Those of you who already know what the gag is can now pause to chuckle). So I spent the next hour searching this site, the writer's site, General Mills Site, and basically, the entire internet, trying to find this comic published by AFD press.

April. Fool's. Day. Press

And it's bad enough that I fell for it. I fell for it 6 months after the fact! And the worst part is....I'd really like to see that comic!!!

That's funny. (And something I'd probably fall for too... :D)

I remember that issue  Great gag :o I believe the fake comic the year before was a relaunch of Captain Carrot and the Amazing Zoo Crew. :o

Don't feel bad because I fell for it too. I didn't go research it or anything but I definitely thought that it was real the first time I read the article. Something seemed fishy about it but I was like, "Hey, I used to eat Count Chocula and Boo Berry all the time. That'll be awesome to read". Then I soon found out it was a joke and I felt really stupid for a while...then angered that this actually wasn't going to happen.

On a sidenote, when I would eat Boo Berry...my turds would be blue. Just thought I'd like to share that with everyone because as a child it was the most hilarious thing I ever saw. :o

Bendis did a book called Total Sell Out, which is a collection of short strips, experimental styles, and short stories. OIne of them is how about one day when he was a kid, he ate a bunch of puddding then took a **** and saw it was blue. He screamed and got his mom, who put it in a bag and rushed him to the hospital. In the end, it was only because of the artificial coloring, but it was amusing. That was the first time I ever heard about such a thing

lol, wow, you're usually so composed, DBM. You're gonna laugh at this in the morning. I remember I've posted on Hype drunk at least once. I suppose alot of old timers around here have, too

I've posted drunk, but I think I've always somehow managed to keep it coherrant :o Its my AIM convos that aren't coherrent drunk :D

I may have posted on here drunk, but not to the point of not knowing what I'm doing or saying.

But I've definitely been high as a kite posting on here before. :o Boy, do I miss smoking weed daily but at the same time I'm glad I'm a casual user.

Oh yeah, kids...don't do drugs or you'll end up like me. :(

:D :D :D

When you eventually sober up DBM, you're going to be soooo glad that it didn't occur to you to get out the digital camera for us. I think you've done as many mis-spellings in one post as you've probably done in your entire life. My favorite is 'strippper'- proof that you can slur online.

BWAHAHAHA :D

I was sitting in that meeting this morning, doing my best not to look too hung-over and hoping to god by breath didn't still smell like vodka, when I vaguely remembered posting this. I just had to come and see if I really did as soon as I got out of the meeting.

Congratulations, you got laid by a stripper.
It's not the first time and it probably won't be the last. Like I said, rather incoherently, my best friend Marianne owns the club so I'm there pretty regularly. It's kind of the hang out for all our friends. And I've developed a little bit of a reputation for taking the girls home with me at the end of a night. I’d feel bad about it but I know Marianne’s done the same thing a few times and she’s the owner.

And for anyone interested, the girl’s name turned out to be Angela. She goes by “Cinnamon” on stage. And thanks to her I sobered up for the most part because I never went to sleep last night.

I'm also pretty sure that I've at least doubled my lifetime typo count with that one post.
