1. CA:Civil War
2. Batman vs Superman
3.Dr. Strange
4. Suicide Squad
5. Deadpool
6. X-Men: Apocalypse

This has been an outstanding year for CBMs. That's a diverse list of characters.

1. Dr Strange (by LARGE, renders everything else to being not even close (quickly entered my top five of MCU, and third favorite film of the year)
2. Batman Vs Superman
3. Civil War
4. Deadpool
5. Suicide Squad
6. X Men Apocalypse

1. Captain America: Civil War
2. Doctor Strange
3. Deadpool
4. X-Men: Apocalypse
5. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows
6. Suicide Squad
7. Batman V Superman: Dawn of yada yada

I kinda want to see a poll without Civil War though.

1. Civil War. It was something very special and one of the best CBMs of all time.
2. Doctor Strange. Again something very special. Awesome.
3. Deadpool. Fun flick.

Do the rest even matter at this time?

Have not seen X-Men nor Suicide Squad.

1. Civil War (10/10)
2. Doctor Strange (8/10)
3. Deadpool (7/10)
4. BvS (6/10)

1. Civil War
2. Doctor Strange
3. Deadpool
4. X-Men: Apocalypse
5. Suicide Squad
6. Batman v Superman

Final ranking...
1. Civil War
2. Doctor Strange
3. Deadpool
4. X-Men: Apocalypse
5. Batman v Superman
6. Suicide Squad

I'd probably rank X-Men and BvS pretty evenly at about 6/10

Suicide Squad was the only one I found to be awful.

Here is my final ranking

1) Deadpool
2) Civil War (though it's VERY close between 1 and 2)
3) Dr Strange
4) X-Men Apocalypse (it's also VERY close between 3 and 4)
5) Batman Vs Superman Ultimate Cut
6) TMNT: Out Of The Shadows
7) Suicide Squad

But I actually enjoyed them all.

Ok after seeing Doctor Strange twice, I feel confident enough to give my ranking;

1. Civil War
2. Deadpool
3. Doctor Strange
4. X-Men: Apocalypse
5. Suicide Squad
6. Batman vs Superman

I'm torn between Doctor Strange and Deadpool for the number two spot and still haven't seen Suicide Squad. Other than that I think the divisions are clear.

1. Civil War
2. Deadpool
3. Doctor Strange
4. Suicide Squad
5. Batman v Superman

Still haven't seen XMA yet so...yeah, there we are.

1. Captain America: Civil War (Great)
2. Deadpool (Great)
3. Doctor Strange (Great)
4. X-Men: Apocalypse (Okay)
5. Suicide Squad (Okay, better than people were giving it credit for)
6. Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice (Meh)
7. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows (Pile of dog s***)

1. Civil War - 9/10
2. Deadpool - 9/10
3. Doctor Strange - 8/10
4. Batman v Superman - 5/10
5. Suicide Squad - 5/10

Haven't seen Apocalypse...

I actually didn't dislike any of the CBM's this year. I loved/ liked them all to various degrees. My ranking:

Top of the Line

1. Civil War 9/10
2. Batman v. Superman Dawn of Justice Ultimate Edition 8.5/10

Two very different "Vs" movies but, to me, succeed on two different levels and provide two very different types of enjoyment.

Fun and enjoyable
3. X-Men Apocalypse
4. Deadpool
5. Dr Strange
6. SuicideSquad (a mess of a film but still had fun with it)

Final ranking. With 2 and 3 really close, hard to decide. They might switch places in the future.

1- Captain America Civil War 8/10
2- Deadpool 7/10
3- Doctor Strange 7/10
4- X-Men Apocalypse 4/10
5- Suicide Squad 2/10
6- Batman The Killing Joke 2/10
7- Batman v Superman 0/10
8- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Out Of The Shadows 0/10 (I could not even finish it, had to stop halfway through, that's the only reason why I rate it under BvS through which I managed to sit twice, the first time in theaters and the second times watching and picking apart the dreadful UC).

Overall a rather disappointing year despite Marvel and Tim Miller's best efforts. Everything else ranks from really mediocre to frankly insulting.

If I were to focus on the positive, I did get my second favorite cbm of all time (Civil War), another tremendous origin story in the Marvel universe (Doctor Strange) and a crazy fun ride (Deadpool), plenty of great new characters (Deadpool, Strange, Spider-Man, Black Panther, The Punisher, Elektra), excellent to good TV shows (Daredevil S2, Luke Cage, The Flash, some bits in Supergirl and Agents of Shield).

Now if DC could get its **** together and Fox either struck a deal with Marvel (starting with those FF rights) or at minimum map out a sensible plan for the future of the X-Men franchise I'd be a happy camper.

Didn't the poll come out months before Dr. Strange?

Not exactly fair.

Also I'm shocked Deadpool has only 4 votes.

I kinda want to see a poll without Civil War though.

Good idea.

Link the thread here, whoever makes it.

This thread was made before DS was released but the poll was made after DS was released overseas. I knew CW would dominate this poll. I wanted to initially do the best of the rest which based on this ranking thread Deadpool vs Doctor Strange but I think some people may have thought CW wouldn't dominate?

1. Captain America: Civil War (10/10)
2. Doctor Strange (9.5/10)
3. Deadpool (9.5/10)
4. X-Men: Apocalypse (7.5/10)
5. Suicide Squad (7/10)
6. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (6.5/10) [really no discernable preference between theatrical and ultimate cuts]

All in all, though, a very great year for CBMs. 2008, 2012, 2014 and now 2016. Loving this golden age.

I still need to see Suicide Squad. But after watching Apocalspe:

1. Civil War (Great)
2. Deadpool (Great)
3. Doctor Strange (Very Good)
4. Apocalypse (Bad)
5. Dawn of Justice (Horrible)

1. Civil War
2. Doctor Strange
3. Deadpool
4. X-Men: Apocalypse
5. Suicide Squad
6. Batman v. Superman
7. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Out of the Shadows

Edit: Saw TMNT2. Glad I didn't watch it in the theaters.

1. Civil War
Distant 2. Apocalypse

Started Deadpool but didn't finish it, it was a little too much, kind of grating actually. I will try it out again but for me personally, this character might work better in 22 pages than 2 hours.

3. BvS, ranked below the first half hour of Deadpool I did watch.

Didn't see Suicide Squad or TMNT2.

Confident Dr. Strange will be #2.

Well I saw Dr. strange last night and can honestly say it was brilliant. I expected to enjoy it. I didn't expect to be blown away. I thought it would be a solid origin film, like Ant-Man, didn't think it would be the best in the MCU. Had no idea what to expect for the third act, best in the MCU.

And on that note, seriously, the confrontation with Dormammu has to be the greatest display of selfless heroism in a CBM. A person transforming into that from the starting point the protagonist was at in the beginning of the film was just awesome. I haven't been on the edge of my seat in like that in a Marvel film since Spider-Man '02.

Great performances all around, plenty of great lines of dialogue to ponder on after the movie. Two well done credit stingers to top it off.

Most of the stories I've read with Dr. Strange were in the last 12 years or so, Bendis and Hickman...he was always very interesting. I'm ready to go back and read the 60's stuff, any solo series...this movie elevated the character. I'm stoked for guys like my Dad who has to have been waiting for this 40 years, pretty sure he's going today.

Didn't expect it to be my new personal favorite, hands down. Maybe I'm still riding high from the film but I don't say it lightly, Civil War had three of my favorite characters.

The Best:
1. Dr. Strange
2. Civil War

Rest of the Best:
3. X-Men: Apocalypse
4. Deadpool (still have not watched the movie again, haven't seen the whole thing.)

The Rest:
5. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice
