There's a difference between believing marriage is between a man and a woman, and equating gays to pedophiles as Bizzle did.

I don't take offense at the former, but I definitely do at the latter.

I think I've said this before,but I think what Christians are trying to say (and granted some communicate it better than others) when they compare gays to pedophiles is that in both cases you have an "abnormal" desire that (we believe) should not be acted upon.Not that both are to be considered an "equal" sin.

I think Bizzle even made the point that we ALL have our own pet sin that should not be acted on.Gay OR straight.If someone engages in prostitution,adultery,fornication- that doesn't make them any less a sinner than someone engaging in homosexuality.

The only real difference is the former is "abusing the privilege" and the latter "perverting the privilege".But at the end of the day sin is sin.And all sin can be forgiven.

Personally I think that comparing anyone to a pedophile for ANY reason when they aren't one is highly offensive no matter what else anyone may say and that negates any other things they say due to the fact that they have no actual idea of what they mean.

Isn't being able to state such views is part of what makes "freedom of expression"?

I never liked the word "Homophobia", 'homo' is part of the human species name, and part of names of other species as well, to use it like this sounds like excluding it to same gender relationships.
And the Phobia part is "irrational fear", disagreeing with an action and expressing dismay toward it is not fear or hate to the people who do it

he managed to throw in all the cliches: I don't hate I'm just expressing an opinion, homosexuality is the same as pedophilia and God loves you anyway. the only thing missing is ''I'm not homophobic because I have gay friends.''

I believe the idea of thinking that way is to easily accept people in same gender relationships who choose a different path

And how would you like it if lumped together religious people and pedophiles because they're both abnormal? You can't justify this. Comparing someone to a pedophile is a ****** thing to do.
