Yes. The old software was so old it was not able to be updated in terms of security and virus prevention. This is a whole new software. As for the feedback, this was to be expected from a major change to a layout that's been the same for as many years as the Hype had been. People get used to certain menus and links being in certain places, and having to adjust after so many years of that is indeed a chore. The fact that a good portion DON'T hate it is victory enough, lol. People (like myself) are already getting used to the look however, and the easier functionality with basic tasks already make it feel like an upgrade on several counts, imo.What was the reasoning behind the changes, was it necessary due to software changes or hardware updates to take in updated facilities ? In other words, was it completely necessary or was it a choice ? If a choice, if that's the case, it's kind of back fired, given the feedback, sadly.
Also, for anyone who hasn't realized this yet, if you're one of those who finds it "messy" looking and haven't tried taking away visible signatures in your preferences, that might help a little. Certainly made it look cleaner to me.
