I think the only way to read the latest post at the moment is to go to alerts and click on the the notification - i.e., if it tells you someone has replied to a thread, quoted a post etc, then click on that, and it should take you to that post, even if it's in the middle of a thread.

Otherwise just going to the bottom of a thread to see the latest post doesn't make any sense at all. You can't tell who has posted what. And even with clicking on the alert you can't always immediately tell what has been posted.

So it's starting to look like some of the other threads are reading in the correct order without being interspersed with posts from Wednesday.

But are all the posts from Thursday and Friday permanently lost? Was there no database back up of that? If we had to choose, I'd rather have the posts from Thursday and Friday even if it means losing the ones from today, instead of keeping today's ones and losing the previous 48 hours. Today's posts were almost a bit nonsensical anyway since they were so jumbled up randomly.

Things do seem better. I don't think the posts were deleted only because my post count never dropped.

Things may take a little longer to clear up than we thought...seems we have to manually do something to every thread....Hunter and I are working on it.....going to be a long night.

I'm sorry to hear that. Thanks bunches in advance for all of your hard work. :applaud

Really appreciate your efforts (both of you)

Seems like all is well again. :D

I know that the Xenforo software is still an adjustment, but two major hacks causing some noticeable damage isn't making me feel confident about its security. I know that it probably would have been a lot worse on vBulliten, but at least there it seemed to be mostly hidden in the background or not as noticeable.

I got tired of the alert colors being unreadable and no one fixing it, so I did the best I could with it.

Don't tell anyone :oldrazz:

I didn't fix the pop up alerts though cause that crap is more complicated.

Is there a limit of pages per thread?

Is there a limit of pages per thread?

I think that's up to your mods on how to handle that. I like post limits myself, good for refreshing the discussion :P

I've been looking through things....I don't see where we can set a specific number for pages per thread.

I've just been manually closing threads and starting new ones when I see that one has gotten a bit long.
